Pleasantly surprised - friendly staff, clean and tidy. A good find for accommodation, the building has a lot of character, in a great location. The room was what I needed, the bathroom / shower clean and functioning well. Good value.

What you see is what you get. A really solid, affordable stay in the heart of the Hunter. You are 20-30 minutes away from cellar doors and historic villages like Milthorpe. The hotel room was spacious and dated yet clean. Shared bathroom facilities were clean and well maintained. The only downside is that the music from downstairs of a Friday/Saturday night travels up through the floors, so you might need to wait going to bed until the dancefloor turns off.

First please note this motel is right above the Imperial Irish Pub, and there will be live music and drunk customers downstairs during the weekend. If you are a deep sleeper or like to hangout in the pub then this place is right for you; if you are looking for a quiet place to relax, then better choose another place.

Overall, I love this place (even I didn’t sleep very well Friday and Saturday night) and it’s decent for the price. I chose this motel for my son’s basketball tournament in Maitland, and it’s the only place available in Maitland when the game roster releases. First this place only changes half or even 1/3 of the price comparing to other motels and hotels in that area. The room type is a single room with shared bathroom and toilet. The building and facilities are a bit old but everything inside is tidy and clean! Considering we only use this place for resting and sleeping, I am happy with everything offering here, for example, it comes with light complementary breakfast (toast, milk, cereal, juice, and yogurt), there is microwave and fridge in the kitchen to use, and large dinning area to use, simple clean up everything when you are done eating. The cleaning lady is quiet and doesn’t like to chat, but she gets the bathroom cleaned everyday.

There are plenty of restaurants just around the corner, and WWs supermarket is about two blocks away. Most importantly, the Murray River is right behind the motel, and you could have a nice walk along the river side in a sweet sunny afternoon/evening!

I really love this place and will stay here again if ever visit the town again!

I can't rate the Imperial Hotel's accommodation high enough. It's absolutely beautiful. The room I stayed in for 6 nights was really clean, the bed was really comfy and even the shared bathrooms were always clean

Needed last minute accommodation and chose Imperial. Very pleased. The building is charming. It's so nice to see old buildings with the original style inside.
