We camped for a week. Had a 3x3 gazebo/tent with two dogs on an unpowered site.
The facilities, campsites and hire equipment are constantly cleaned and easily accessed. It was a real joy to see kids playing and swimming while we walked our dogs.
The town of Imbil is so well kept and friendly.
A short trip to the lookout and the dam is also recommended.
We really appreciated the support, the help and the friendship of all the park people.
This place really is a jewel in the Mary Valley!!!

What a hidden gem this place is and only 2 hours from Brisbane.
Upon arrival we felt immediately welcomed by Wendy and John. Who made our stay an absolute pleasure. Nothing was a bother and the park and its facilities are exceptional. So well maintained.
During a storm John and Wendy hunkered in the camp kitchen with a number of campers making sure we were all feeling safe . The next day John and Scott worked tirelessly to have the park ready for incoming visitors.
Will be back again for sure.

Imbil Island Retreat
We have a family pilgrimage here every January, 11 people and 3 dogs in our group. Congrats to the staff, the park is well maintained and beautiful. They even deliver your ice and timber to your camp site.
The sites are large, with a relaxing atmosphere, nice easy walk into town.
Great new IGA, and shops, within walking distance. Markets on Sunday.
Pizza, Seafood, Coffee and Burger Vans on site over Xmas and New Year.
My only criticism, more toilet facilities during the busy periods, down on the lower areas
You could hire some really nice mobile amenities.

Wonderful quiet and relaxing grounds. We were lucky to have spot near the creek under the beautiful yellow trumpet tree. So serene. Brett was wonderful at helping with things, he's so lovely. All staff were friendly. Highly recommend this camp ground.

My husband and I camped at Imbil camping retreat over the Christmas holidays and it was fantastic !
Absolutely loved it !
The Managers John & Wendy made us feel welcome and had thought of everything from arranging a coffee cart to sell coffees to food vendors to sell pizzas, burgers, seafood, fish & chips and more.
Even had activities for the kids -
Treasure hunt, face painting, fishing
(which was very popular) with the kids wanting to fish and learn about fishing and information on fishing 🎣 down by the creek.
(Which I now know what a Lung fish is and how rare it is)
But, my favourite activity was the Yabby 🦞 races on New Year’s Eve.
That was so much fun and enjoyed by everyone followed by a night of dancing 💃 and singing with live music from Adam and a Flintstone’s fancy dress up party to see the New Year in.
The grass and grounds were constantly maintained and the amenities were cleaned regularly.
So overall was a very enjoyable holiday.
A big Thank you to John and Wendy and Adam.
We cannot wait until Christmas this year.
We will definitely be back.

We stayed over New Year's. We had such a great time. Lovely park and close walk into town. Had fun relaxing on the creek, swimming and fishing with friends. Will be returning and recommending to our other friends and family. Thanks for the great time there.

Imbil is a great little town with a great pub and bakery.

Update, Returned to Imbill Camping retreat this weekend. Nice relaxing weekend again, they have a coffee van on Sundays and a great little fish and chip van on Saturday

After Xmas booking fell through at the last minute, caravan in tow. I called in and hoped I could have a cancellation. My " call in " paid off. I was able to have a booking for the complete Xmas break. Thanks to the management and staff. Rob an his beautiful wife, Johno an his beautiful wife. You all as a team made my Xmas the best. I highly recommend the Imbil resort. FANTASTIC!!!!
