A lovely quiet Cafe, with very prompt service. Some unusual/ less common items on the menu provides adventurous brunch options such as the miso soup dish, and coconut rice as an alternative to bread. Great coffee. Small interior, so good for couples or small groups to dine. Or takeaway. Lovely spot!

We visited 4 days in a row (out of our 5 day holiday), and every time the coffee was excellent (the best we’ve had at a cafe for a long time!). Thank you Laura (the barista).
The food was delicious. Shakshuka, perfect eggs, mushrooms so good, kale cooked perfectly. The chocolate and raspberry croissant got great reviews from our son.
So glad we discovered this cafe while on holiday.
We didn’t get the name of the other waitress; she was lovely and attentive.
Food and coffee came out quickly. Great feel there. Please do visit!

As I strolled up to Imago Cafe and Bakery, a little pup sitting by the door caught my eye—a cute welcome before I even spotted the coffee shop behind it. I stepped inside and, half-joking, asked if I could take the dog home for free. The lovely owner and barista girls just smiled and said no, sadly for me.
So, I settled for the next best thing: their coffee and a bite. I ordered a mocha and a gluten-free orange friand. Both were spot-on—rich, balanced, and downright tasty. The place itself is cozy, with just the right music setting a relaxed vibe. The staff was super friendly and warm, making it all the better.
It was a great stop—perfect for a coffee break, a date, or just hanging out. Highly recommend giving it a try.

Imago Café feels like stepping into a different world the moment you walk in 🌿☕ It’s a cute little garden-style spot
small but full of charm 🌸 We were lucky 🍀 to get a table right away as a group had just left. The coffee was lovely ☕️, “The food was okay, but nothing really stood out.”🍽️.
It was pretty packed that day . a group of four were squeezed at a tiny table 😬, and they didn’t look too happy. Staff were doing their best but seemed a bit short-handed 🏃‍♀️💨 Overall, we had a pleasant visit and didn’t have to wait long for our food or drinks ✨

A perfect "neighbourhood" cafe in the heart of the CBD heading towards North Hobart. Lovely friendly staff. A nice atmosphere within the cafe. A good variety on the menu. I had the Pulled Pork Rendang Benny - so good and wonderful flavours. Will be back thanks team

Very laid back and chill cafe/bakery at the bottom of north hobart. Has to be one of my top 3 cafes in tasmania, lots of food options to choose from at reasonable prices and all delicious with fresh ingredients. The coffee here is unmatched to any other in Hobart. Once you've had a coffee here nothing can compare to it. Plenty of alternative drinks to choose from as well such as matcha and black sesesame lattes.

The place has a very cozy atmosphere, and the service is top-notch. The breakfast may look plain, but it’s unexpectedly delicious and really whets the appetite!

Shouldn't be telling you about this place because it's hard enough to get a table on the weekend as it is but that would be selfish & this place deserves the praise. Great food & coffee for a good price, that's it in a nutshell. Please people, for good of others & the business, if you have finished eating don't sit there taking up a table for ages. It's a small place with limited seating & people are usually waiting so be fair to the business & others. One of the best in Hobart.
