The hotel is easily accessible off Pennant Hills Road. Check in was easy and our king bedroom was very comfortably Ibis. Smallish, but not so small to feel closed in, and a window that opens. The bed was lovely. The bathroom made me feel like being on a cruise ship, although the shower enclosure is a good size and has double doors. Nice touch.

Dinner at the bistro downstairs was nice.

We both agreed that Ibis Thornleigh is worth another visit.

This was perhaps the worst hotel experience I have had in 60 years.

I didn't like that the room was not locked when I arrived.
I didn't like that the room's door had a seal that was flapping in the wind like a drunk party streamer.
I didn't like that the room had no toilet paper in its 70's era prefab fibreglass toilet/bathroom.
I didn't like that, after 6 attempts, no staff would pick up the reception telephone.
I didn't like that the room contained no TV remote control and no other means of operating the TV.
I didn't like that the 70's era prefab fibreglass toilet/bathroom had an always-on fan that sounded like commercial jet spooling up.
I didn't like the uninsulated brick wall that ran the length of the room that heated up with afternoon sun and got so hot it was uncomfortable to touch and turned the room into an oven.
I didn't like that the freight trains between midnight 3am made sleep impossible.
I didn't like that the expensive pizza I ordered looked, and tasted like it was a re-heated budget frozen pizza someone had squirted some sauce on in an attempt to dress it up.
And, I wouldn't say I liked that the noise insulation was so poor I could hear other guests farting in two separate rooms.

It was so bad I gave up trying to sleep and checked out around 3.30 am.

After a long drive from QLD we found that our previously arranged accommodation at a different property had been offered to someone else. After a bit of Google research we found this place. It is going through some renovations at present so we were offered a better than advertised rate, the room was clean and comfortable and it was small but for a 1 night stay it did the job. The staff were friendly and professional which made the stay even better. Also handy to numerous restaurants. They have a great on site restaurant that we enjoyed. We will be back on future visits.

We only stayed one night but were more than satisfied with the experience. Staff we interacted with were lovely. The room was comfortable and reasonably spacious, we slept very well. Breakfast was excellent - thanks again for the gluten free toast, you made my day.

Don’t stay here, I paid for my room and then I got told it declined. On my bank account very clearly stated the amount was deducted. Rooms are never cleaned properly. I have stayed here many times but the quality of this hotel has gone down drastically. Very disappointing it could be great if they actually put some effort into fixing issues and cleaning the room properly.

Stayed on Saturday 29/07. Good reception. Small issue with pricing from booking to checking in, but that could’ve been a Microsoft issue. Lovely service.

Enjoyed the stay very much. Tried to get reception’s attention at midnight but no-one came when we rang the desk bell.

Breakfast was good. Bacon & sausages were on the cool side. We’ll get there earlier next time. Had a great time with the toaster though. That was fun!!

I had a reservation and was asked to leave the hotel while half awake because they had booked out the room to someone else.

What is the point of your reservation system if you just kick accor silver members out after they have made a reservation and have already been staying at the hotel for some time.

I was not given enough time to vacate the hotel and gather my things despite my reservation.

The manager is a very nice man.
However female staff working at the hotel can be rude and condescending.

The manner in which the staff member delivered this information etc was rude inconsiderate and to be frank this issue will be followed up with an appropriate response

I had a wonderful stay at the Ibis Thornleigh over the NRL Grand Final Weekend.

Samir at the front desk was extremely polite and professional, and made the check in process quick and pain free.

The room was clean and met the standard I was expecting.

Would definitely recommend for a budget stay.
