Dirty appearance backed up upon entry ie papers and soap dispensers down the hallway. Some empty containers with customer notes to refill. They don't. Limited parking. Needs a good clean up then repainted as not really cheap. But cheap doesn't have to mean dirty. Bed linen and towels all crispy white but no cups etc in rooms or microwave

One star only because I can’t give a negative rating. The place was absolutely filthy. The floors looked like they hadn’t been vacuumed in ages, the laundry area reeked, and the toilet had poop skid marks on it, which made me vomit and leave without using the laundry.

The hallways were crawling with cockroaches and pests, and the room we were given (Room 135) had water all over the floor when we arrived. By morning, the room was stinking, and the wet floor was a serious trip hazard.

I’m never staying at this hotel again and will warn all my friends and family to avoid it at all costs. This place is unacceptable.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Probably won’t stay here again. Nothing wrong with the staff or location, it’s just run down.

It’s a budget hotel but be prepared for what comes with a budget motel. Bed was flogged out, bet it has seen some stuff. Lino coming off the floor, fridge barely cool.

The breakfast, in my opinion not worth the extra charged. It’s a basic I mean very basic continental.

Did it do the job, yeah. Would I recommend no, unless you are looking for the cheapest accommodation available.

Photo shows a nice room but reality is opposite. Hallways smell of urine and for a "budget" room its well below standard. The toilet cubicle is so small not even a thin and slim person could fit. A plane toilet is bigger. It's not a proper bathroom. The face wash, body wash and shampoo are all in one and the sink to wash your hands from the toilet so you have to leave the toilet to wash your hands. The shade in the bedroom once up gives you no privacy and there is no bedside table with any power sockets close by. The pillows might as well have been tea towels they were so flat. I'm an all accor member and was told there was only a fantastic can available for my welcome drink. I always reveive one for each member of my family ij any hotel I've stayed in. I asked if I could get a proper coffee and was told there was only sachet sticks when the sign behind the receptionist says barista coffee available. The public toilet doubled up as a laundry room snd was locked each night. This room was $112 at full price and was grossly overpriced. I regret my stay here and would never come here ever again. I regret paying every dollar here. Was well.below standard for a budget room and the bed was not comfortable. The pictures online were edited to make it look like a clean and comfortable room. Shame on this hotel for using photography trickery for this room. I can't sieve all accor allow this hotel to be part of their chain!!

My confirmed booking was cancelled at 8pm the same day we were checking in and the reason was they were overbooked and unable to control their own bookings through their website. They didn't give us any further solution and we ended up sleeping in the car as the cancellation happened in the middle of the Christmas period 2024.

Good value, close to drive to most places.
The room is a little small.
The room needs a towel on the wall beside the wash basin
The shower needs a towel for the floor as when you shower, the floor gets very wet, and there is no place to hang the wet towel.

easy check in, everything was clean and ready to go, I walked over to the shopping centre, and all the shops of Wallsend. Once I closed the window and put on the airconditioner, it was so quiet in the room, I think I had one of the best sleeps of my entire holiday. On the way out I put my key in the check out box and left. So easy.

I stayed at the Ibis Budget Newcastle last night and I am rather disappointed with the overall stay.

I understand that this is budget accommodation but we checked in at 9pm and left this morning just after 7am.

When we got into our room it had not been cleaned. The beds looked like someone had just got out of them, the towels had all been used and were shoved in the corner, there was used empty water bottles in the bench.

I went to reception to ask for fresh towels literally 4 minutes after we checked in and all that was said was sorry about that what room number are you and then was given some towels from the store room.

We had breakfast included in our stay but did not use it as there was one cereal, bread, and some yoghurt.

The original room price including 3 * breakfast’s was meant to be $195.20, and as I am an Accor gold member I used 4,000 points to bring the overall stay down to $63.18.

When I got home this afternoon I checked my credit card and I have been charged $270.94

This is an absolute disgrace to one be presented with that room quality and then to be charged excessively over what I was meant to be.
