Beautiful gardens and bush walks close to Newcastle and Maitland. Friendly volunteers, heaps of great places to sit and picnic or explore. Full of birds and wallabies. They also have a great selection of plants grown from in the gardens to purchase.

There’s great play equipment for kids and bbq stations.

I've driven past these gardens a lot and always thought one day I'll visit. I just wish we stopped when the kids were smaller. It is so special. Lots of walking tracks, play areas, seats to rest and a fabulous cafe all run by volunteers. Bought a bunch of plants to bring a little nature home with me. Thoroughly recommend stopping. It's only a $5 entry fee. I'll ensure to return for all the events they also host. Please stop next time to stretch your legs on the drive north or south. You won't be disappointed.

Always a great outing. The ladies that volunteer are friendly and accommodating. Nice walk around the gardens and their scones are
divine (made by one of the volunteers). Also recommend lunch. They have vegetarian options as well and incredibly good prices

We visited the gardens on our way back to Sydney. As a place that I always pass but never enter I can now say I regret that. This is a great place to brake up the trip in those long drives. As it was just short stay for us I can't wait to go back to look at the entire gardens. There is so much to look at as well as fun play ativities for the kids.

Beautiful garden nestled in the Newcastle region. Ran by lovely volunteers who are really helpful and welcoming.
There's a lot to explore here and we found the aboriginal gardens to be really informative.
Looking forward to returning.

This was a lovely stopover for lunch whilst travelling.
We didn't get to explore all the Gardens had to offer, but enjoyed what we saw.
Plenty of sunny spots for a picnic.
Kiosk and gift shop and plant nursery where we purchased a couple of plants. Very enjoyable.
$5 entry per person.

Staff were very rude to my wife and I when we arrived. We accidentally pulled into the car park and the staff basically wouldn’t let us out unless we paid something. Honestly would have been happy to pay the car park fee if the staff were pleasant. The gardens from the entry looked nothing special and not worth the money and the cafe look poor. Recommend stopping elsewhere if you’re passing through.

I had been here before and knew the garden was very underwhelming and the staff unpleasant but thought I’d drop back in for a few minutes to buy a couple of plants to support the nursery. Was literally there for 3 mins while my husband waited out the front and they still wanted to charge an entry fee. Needless to say I will never be back. Go the the Illawarra grevillea park instead on their open days, the entry fee is happily paid because the garden is stunning and the people are just lovely.
