Fantastic weekend spent at Hunchy Hideaway in Cedarwood cottage. Accommodation was spotless and very well serviced, spa bath was clean and there were plenty of towels. Breakfast food in fridge and fresh juice and bread. Location was beautiful, serene views, idyllic rolling hills with quiet cattle grazing in the green grass. A very short drive to Montville town centre, while yet still feeling secluded enough to enjoy a peaceful weekend amongst the trees. 10/10 recommend.

Jack and lana have out done themselves not only with the way the cabins looks and surrounding, but also with the sevice and friendly greeting. Jack also gave us a few recommendations about the local area including eating hot spots to waterfall locations and places to visit, can't thank you enough for the weekend you have given us

What a place! The perfect location for our honeymoon. Close enough to Montville and surrounds but so private and idyllic. Amazing room and such great service, even having a courtesy bus booked for us to head to Montville for dinner. Will recommend to everyone and will definitely be back.

Very disappointed. Have stayed in this cottage (Fig Tree) on previous occasions.|However this time things were not the same. The fireplace had not been set up with timber. In fact there was no timber in the cottage at all. Had to cart it from the timber supply near the Office. There was no proper kindling (e.g. pine strips). Was told just to pick up debris from outside. The steps leading onto the front porch have been removed making approx 2/3 of the porch unusable. The end railing was collapsing. There was only 1 candle holder in the entire cottage and that had a used candle in it. Previously there were approx 8 candles scattered around as one would expect in a romantic cottage. There were 3 used coffee pods in the coffee machine - obviously had not been cleaned out. Cobwebs on the ceiling above the bed (actually hanging down). The exhaust fan in the toilet was completely covered in dust. Website says that upon arrival there would be home-made scones for afternoon tea, chocolates and roses. There were 4 chocolates on the bed, no roses or any other type of flowers and upon check-in-in was told that they no longer provide the scones however there was cake instead. This consisted of 3 very small what looked like shop bought slices.|See attached photos of cottage.

Absolutely beautiful love it there so much .nice and peaceful quiet beautiful surroundings. My wife and I stayed in the ceaderwood cottage all I can say is wow . Owners are awsome friendly and very helpful. Only a 2 min drive to montville village .

Hunchy Hideaway is everything you could want in a romantic hinterland getaway. Jack & Lana have thought of every little detail. From the moment you walk in your cottage to the moment you leave, you don't need to think about anything. Would recommend to anyone needing to get away from the world and escape into a piece of paradise. ?

This place is AMAZING and the Hosts are the nicest people! Please read this review about our stay:
My husband & I were booked at a different accommodation in Maleny for our 1st wedding anniversary. Unfortunately, we had the worst time with that Airbnb Host, resulting in needing to get Airbnb involved in our stay, and get Airbnb's help to leave our accommodation. It meant we were left stranded in Maleny with no accommodation. Not wanting to have our wedding anniversary completely ruined, we looked for other places to stay. We came across Hunchy's in Montville & tried our luck with booking there with EXTREMELY short notice.
Jack was amazing from the start. We had only given him 2hrs notice to get our cottage ready for us & he went above & beyond to do that for us. The cottage was immaculate, smelt amazing upon arrival & there were delicious cakes/sweets waiting for us in the fridge. As well as, all the breakfast food options you could want! Even though the cottage is surrounded by lush rainforest scenery, the cabin is very secure & we didn't have any creepy crawlies the entire time. The mattress was immensely comfortable & both of us are usually quite picky with our mattresses. Despite there being no Wifi available, or reception at the cottage, there is a great DVD collection inside the cottage which kept us more than entertained. We had absolutely everything we could need at this place & if there was any questions we had, Jack was more than happy for us to call him & to have a chat with us. We are so thankful to Jack & Lara for providing such a cosy, well kept, clean, beautifully designed cottage accommodation for us to stay in, at such short notice. I recommend everyone give Hunchy's a go for your next stay, if you are after somewhere cosy, with a stunning fireplace, lush scenery, and relaxed/romantic vibes.

Cottage full of character looking out into Queensland rainforest. Such a lovely setting. Fairy lights along the pathways to light the way at night, bird song through the day and insects chirruping as dusk falls. Cottage well appointed with everyone we could want, plus a few treats of chocolate and baked goods. Little touches that elevated the experience. Hosts friendly and welcoming but unobtrusive. Thank you Lana and Jack, we will be back.
