I would not recommend this venue to stay at. When you get there you walk into what looks like a lovely presentable establishment. When we were given our key we went to the room only to find the sheets were fifthly, dead squished bugs in and around the fridge and a musky smell to the room. I will however say the manager that was on was very approachable and very helpful so she is the reason I'm giving the service 4/5.

The Jesmond hotel restaurant is a great place for lunch. An awesome menu with really good prices. My Uncle had the Pale ale battered Flathead and was so generous in size, so fresh and flavourful. I was so grateful for the Gluten Free chips and Gravy. The seasonal vegetables were so fresh and cooked to perfection. The staff were really helpful. Overall a great place to eat.

The food is always delicious and hot. The service is always welcoming and kind. It's never an issue to get a table and the kids eat free night is the best.
The manager and team are great people and nothing is ever an issue.

5 stars all round. Both my partner and I had the sirloin steaks and they were cooked perfectly. We thought the pub had been nicely renovated and seemed like a nice family style pub. We are from
The Central Coast but if we’re ever back up this way we would definitely come back.

I never saw an hotel more degusting than this one. It was unbelievable. The smell, the room was not clean, everything so bad. I’m not used to put any reviews but it was an obligation for this one. Never go there to sleep trust me.

Great place to stay at. Rooms and facilities are very clean and the beds are comfy.
Only draw back is it has no wheelchair access for the rooms up stairs. Only stair access.

Meals really good for price, nice area to eat. Staff nice , however 1 very small things. Had dinner on a Sunday, their deal is Stone & Wood pints ? for schooner prices. How ever would pour you a schooner if you didn’t explicitly ask for a pint. First world problems but just seemed interesting.

Uni things

Went in on Tuesday night for some dinner with friends. Waited a fair bit inside to be seated whilst staff were just passing by. We finally asked a staff member if we could have a table for 10. The Staff offered 2 tables which will separate our group. I kindly asked if we could sit at a longer table at the end which would have everyone seated at 1 table. Staff rudely said no because she still has to clean it up first. Staff insisted on sitting us on the tables that she offered instead.

We agreed and asked if we can instead move 1 table to accommodate everyone in that spot. Staff just turned around looking annoyed and walked off. My friends and I then just moved the tables ourselves with no complaints. 5 minutes later, the same staff asked us all to stand up and to move into the table where we originally asked to be in?. We are easy going and just went with what the staff wanted.

Customer service can be improved a little bit more.
Otherwise, food was great ?
