Made to feel really special in an Executive suite, welcome message on the dresser with complimentary beverages. Was a quick overnight stay but the room was lovely, quiet and spacious. Everything from check in to check out was easy and efficient - great when you are on a quick overnight trip.

We only had one night here but were really impressed with the hotel. The magnificent reception area was staffed by friendly and helpful staff. Our room was large and quiet which was excellent.
My only slight criticism is that there are no plugs for charging cables by the bed. There were plugs at floor level by the desk which was fine but we did find that a previous guest had left a cable there so be aware.

We only stayed here for one night but it was a lovely experience. |The building itself is beautiful and classic on the exterior. Check in was very good and the staff were extremely helpful on check in and check out. There is a car park alongside the hotel where you can park for $10 a night (concession)|Room was plenty big enough with all the facilities you would expect, tea/coffee making facilities, toiletries etc.|We were booked in for bed and full breakfast. Breakfast was a full buffet of both hot and cold options. Very good selection, something for everyone.|| Walking for 15 mins will take you to the River/Wharf where there are lovely boat trips to do or there are a selection of very nice restaurants for dinner. Also within 10 mins there is a wide selection of shops, cafes etc. The city centre seems flat so very easy and comfortable to walk everywhere.||Less than 5 mins walking you arrive at a very pretty City Park which houses a Macaque (monkey) enclosure. It was amazing to see these beautiful creatures in a City Centre Park. There were lots of baby ones too|. They seemed very happy and very well cared for however i have recently learned that this is the last generation of them as the are being allowed to die off naturally( no breeding) so as to prevent inbreeding, necessary but sad. . Apparently they have been here nearly 40 years. i feel privileged to have seen them while in Launceston.

I have done a few trips through Booking.com and am thinking that I should book direct with the hotel in future so as to discuss room options. Again with Booking.com I got a room with a terrible outlook being the only one which has the metal roof of the bus bay reflecting the hot summer sun, there was no leafy view anyway so had to keep curtains closed and air con on the entire time which is not pleasant. The hotel is certainly Grand and beautiful old world - I love that part but the rooms are 1980s dated. I don't mind that but I do mind having a cracked bathtub to shower in. I enjoyed my stay though and the location is great but 3 nights was certainly enough in a room without a pleasant outlook. I would book this hotel again but only by booking direct. The staff are all exceptional.

Good room, nice and big. Location was great. Car park was secure and easy to continually use throughout the day without additional charges ($10 per day). We stayed 4 nights and the daily cleaning left a bit to be desired - rubbish and crumbs not attended to.

We recently enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Hotel Grand Chancellor Launceston. From the moment we arrived, the check-in process was smooth and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The hotel's location is perfect, just a short walk from the city center and the City Park right around the corner!

Our room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, providing everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We were pleasantly surprised to find a farmers market right across the street on Saturday morning, which was a fantastic way to experience some local produce and crafts.

Overall, we had a fantastic experience at the Hotel Grand Chancellor Launceston. The combination of excellent service, a prime location, and comfortable accommodations makes this hotel a great choice for anyone visiting Launceston. We would definitely stay here again!

An older hotel but nice classic building with large rooms. I didn't like the floor plan that much with a little hallways for clothes near the bathroom and the bathroom door banging against the toilet. Very good value though.

The Grand Chancellor Launceston is in a great location. It’s in easy walking distance to cafes, restaurants and parks. Our room was extremely spacious, clean and comfortable. Very easy to check in and out. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again here next time I’m in Launceston.
