Walked into the bar with my family for a drink, and she was drinking on the job, which she immediately dumped as we walked in to try and hide it, and then was immediately rude to us without any kind of instigating, and after we asked a few questions she decided to “close up” just to kick us out for no reason. Out of all the pubs I’ve been to in Childers, this was by far the worst one in town, don’t even waste your time walking in, let alone ask for a drink. The Grand Hotel is so much better, and it’s just down the block.

Don't waist your monitor time going here theres 3 better pubs in town -What a dragon running the place - we went in for lunch and she told us the kitchen was closed ar 1pm so we said even though the place smelled like stale urine we would come back for a drink later - so later we came back to this place and it was open the old lady behind the bar hid her alcoholic drink as we came in and when I asked where the pool table was she told me she couldn't be bothered taking the cover off for useven though she'd had a sign advertising free pool out the front and the she told us to go away as she decided to close the pub on us - she also took away the few chocolates she had on a plate as she said they were only for locals - some people should not be runnng a pub will never waist my money or time here again and yes we are local!

Dropped in for a drink after spending the day touring around Bundaberg and surrounds. At the recommendation of another review, we chose Hotel Childers as we wanted to meet Jill haha so glad we did!!! Awesome lady, very hospitable and friendly and definitely great for a laugh. Will drop in again next time we’re up that way!!!

Travelling through the area decided to stop at the township to look at all the historical buildings Hotel Childers was on the historical listings as a place of interest to visit .
The lady was rude I took a photo and she told me not to take any photos….mmm ! Isn’t this a historical building in a historical town and this is what people come to the town for to admire and take photos . I was just looking and she had another go at me not to take photos which I wasn’t …rude !rude !rude !
