loved the room and service . would be good to have a bar restaurant down stairs.had to walk to the plaza for meals but that area is going ahead so next time there might be cafes etc anyway thanks great room and service def will be back

We stayed 9 nights. The family room was clean and large enough for our stay. Secure parking was provided. The Horton is close to shops and the beach was minutes away. Popular restaurants were close by within walking distance.

We had our room serviced mid stay, much appreciated.

Love staying at Horton Apartments.
We travel regularly for work and can highly recommend this place. Beds are extremely comfortable and the apartments are very large. Love the coffee machine. Our favorite restaurant Giddy Geisha is a minutes walk. Shopping center accross the street and there is free onsite secure parking. Highly recommend

Where to begin…
Perhaps with a warning!
- cigarette smoke drift is revolting, you can’t open windows or use the balcony because of the disgusting residents
- don’t expect a peaceful night sleep as there is constant noise, if you do stay here call the police as the property managers don’t check emails and make excuses when you do get hold of them. They have noise policy but no one on site to enforce it, complete joke.
- the property managers hold bond deposits longer than they should, very interesting reading the number of reviews that have had poor experience with this.
- they charge for a bond deposit for cleaning they do not provide a clean unit, the unit I stayed in had rice all over the floor and all cups plates and cutlery was dirty and required cleaning before I was able to use it.
- location is bad, the view is of a waste land they describe as “city view” what a joke.
- there are plenty of residents in this establishment who look incredibly shifty, there are no safes in the property so keep your personal belongings with you, doors of the units don’t shut properly either so needed to double check every time I left room that the door shut and locked.
- they advertise king bed but the beds are 2 single beds pushed into one, there’s a lump through the middle so you can’t actually spread out.

There are so many accommodation options in the region priced around the same. My advice is stay anywhere else, these units are not good value for money especially when you can’t sleep due to constant noise.

So professional. Received a call due to running late and had the entire late check in process organised for me without hassle. Very polite staff. Room was one of the best I’ve ever stayed in and actually affordable. Thanks Horton.

Apartment well located & Check-in smooth.

TV in main area “No signal”.

All the rules re cleaning - so basically don’t use anything as you need to clean it & put it back again. Don’t leave any rubbish in the bins as you risk cleaning fees.

Oh, and apart from the payment for the night, they take a $300 bond in case you don’t clean so they can deduct a cleaning fee. This was not disclosed at time of booking - and then they catch you as the payment for the apartment is non-refundable.

They take $300 straight away, and then you wait for refund of $300. I’m writing review 2 days after Check-out with $300 bond not yet refunded.

I’d rather stay in Hotel next time - less rules & you know what you pay for, no surprise bonds.

Fantastic apartment, well equipped, spotless and roomy. Next time will ask for a different position, as walls seem to be thin, could hear neighbors a lot, and regular banging of metal driveway speedbump just added, so could not open windows. Apartment itself was excellent.

Great value, spacious apartment. Great location and minutes walk from Sunshine Plaza. Area felt safe and the staff were friendly. This was our second stay here and wouldn't hesitate to come again.
