Disappointing Stay!!

I recently stayed here, and my experience was far from satisfactory. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place to anyone, despite its convenient location.

1. Hygiene Issues: During one room service, I witnessed staff using the shower towel allocated for guests to wipe the floor. This is an unacceptable breach of hygiene standards.

2. Poor Customer Service: When I called to inquire about parking, the staff member simply hung up on me because they didn’t have an answer. This level of disregard for guest questions is disappointing.

3. Unclean Dining Area: The free breakfast may be a key attraction, but the lack of cleanliness in the dining area—dirty glasses and plates—seriously detracts from the appeal.

4. Inconsistent Pricing & Communication Issues: When I wanted to extend my stay, the night receptionist assured me the current rate would be saved for the next day. However, the morning receptionist refused to honor it, insisting on a higher rate. This inconsistency and lack of communication among staff created unnecessary frustration.

5. The room shower has semi - transparent glass in which not every will be comfortable. Of course, I am not. When I raised this issue with the Hotel staff, they said all the rooms have the same semi -transparent glass shower.

Overall, my experience was disappointing, with clear issues in service and cleanliness that management needs to address. Until these matters are improved, I cannot recommend this hotel to future guests.

Conveniently located in a nice area within walking distance to the train station and shopping. Clean and bright room. Excellent hot and cold breakfast offering included in the room charge. Perfect, right? Not so fast. They charge a 1.9% surcharge if we pay with a credit card. We ended up paying in cash for the room. Is it becoming common now all the merchants, hotels and restaurants start charging credit card surcharge and go backwards to a cash society?

Located conveniently near the Macquarie Park shopping centre this is good place if you want to stay away from Sydney CBD in the northern suburbs. Fairly new building but the rooms are smaller, perhaps in line with the Holiday Inn Express brand but very clean. Parking onsite is costly but some parking at the street outside. Be carful not to exceed 4 hour time limit as the compliance people are rampant. Overall pleasant experience.

good clean quiet room!!
We love the room. It was very clean and no any bad odours. Only problem is bit away from the city but we like the travelling to city and around from there. 5-8 minutes walk to bus stops and train stations- M. Bathroom has all necessities. Bed is comfortable and room size is good.Overall the stay was very nice and breakfast was good. Can fuel up ourselves until mid day. Keep up the good work!! Will recommend this place to anyone

Cons:
No bottle water in the rooms.
Location is bit away from the CBD

Would not recommend staying here, I certainly won’t be again.

Rooms are small and dirty. Not even a microwave, lots of hair, dust and stains everywhere. I went out and bought my own wipes to clean the room. Desk is absolutely tiny, bed/pillows are not supportive and I ended up with back and neck pain. Only good thing was the shower - roomy and a good temperature.

Near metro station and shopping centre, but surrounded by residential apartments.

Reception staff are non-existent, and if you can actually find them they are useless. The reception desk was mostly empty with no one around.
There was a mix-up resulting in me being overcharged and needing a refund, which they assured was processed on Monday. When I called up on Thursday (was supposed to check out on Friday) as I still had not received the refund (that typically takes 3 business days) they said it was only processed the day before - Wednesday. Why do they think it’s ok to hold on to almost $1000 of someone’s money for days on end, after LYING assuring me the refund had been processed?

Got a weird call very late (after 5pm) on my last night there asking me to change rooms. When I politely declined they said they wanted housekeeping to come in and do a tidy up. When I declined again they said I needed to come and recalibrate my room key. I declined AGAIN as I didn’t plan on leaving until I needed to check out. Why do this? After 5pm? It was creepy, weird and disruptive - it’s not like housekeeping were doing a very good job anyway.

Breakky was basic but don’t bother if you have any dietary requirements. They have bread/pasties, cereal, yoghurt, fruit (melon or apples) and eggs, beans, bacon, sausage. I was limited in what I could have as they just don’t care.

Also can hear other people showering, using toilet paper, walking up and down the halls, children crying late into the night. And let’s not forget the fire alarm going off at 4am!

The hotel and the room was very clean. The ensuite has glass opaque walls and door. There is a single seat up to the desk. The air conditioning was a bit cool with no obvious way to adjust it. The breakfast was great. The buffet breakfast has a selection of hot and cold items, fresh fruit, toast, selection of fruit juices. The hotel website says parking available on site. This is true, however on on arrival I did find out that on-site parking is $25 for the night I stayed. Otherwise parking is out on the street. Hotel is quiet, which is great. Staff are professional and helpful.

Great location for a nice hotel next to Macquarie Shopping Centre & Metro train station to go to Chatswood & city.
A very good The Coffee Club restaurant is adjacent to this hotel. They serve good breakfast, lunch & dinner, of course nice coffee.

Usually good this is a great hotel and great staff, but a single stay in their lack of transparency and inconsiderateness has changed my mind.
Upon check in I was exposed to an Ozone generator in the room, which is negligent and dangerous. But alright, we're human and mistakes happen.
However not knowing what this was I left my baggage in there, and was told to go back in there and grab it myself, and relocate to another room.
When I asked what this device was management were conveniently vague.

The way it should have been handled is as follows:
Apologize, tell me exactly what it is, and have a staff member retrieve my belongings whilst holding their breath. Not further endangering your customer to upkeep their ignorance to your secrecy.

Lucky for this hotel and myself personally, I have suffered no medical symptoms as of yet, hopefully I'm in the clear.
