Great quite room even though there was a concert in at the stadium, a great place to stay we enjoyed it.
Good value for money in the location it is.

?The cleaner could use a brush up in their cleaning skills, red cordial or alcohol dribbled all down the doors in the kitchen. A few stains on carpet and wear and tear on walls, carpets and doors.

The hygiene and cleaning standards are beyond disgusting. The dishwasher was broken, air-conditioning filters looked like they'd never been cleaned. There was bugs and other peoples rubbish under the bed. Just all in all yuck!

1st 2 bedroom apartment we were allocated (78) had a terrible damp smell so I asked if we could change. 2nd apartment (56) had floors so dirty we had to wash our feet again before going to bed. Air cons in each of the bedrooms barely coped and were missing remotes. Air con in the living area did not cope at all. Constantly hot - was cooler to open veranda doors but no screens so bugs a problem. Booked for 2 nights but left after 1. Very disappointed. Have stayed here before without problem but never again.

We had 3 families, in 3 separate apartments, stay here for 6 nights over Christmas. It was the filthiest and most poorly equipped and maintained apartment I have ever stayed in. The air-conditioners were filthy and water poured out of them. Another apartment's aircon didnt work at all. The kitchens had the bare minimum (one apartment having only 2 spoons and 2 dinner plates) All kitchen drawers and cupboards were dirty and we had to put everything through the dishwasher before using - even the cutlery drawer insert. The cushions and bedspread were soiled and stained, as were the doonas. No doona cover was used either, just 2 sheets placed either side of the doona. The couch was the most disgustingly stained (unfit for a human to sit on) piece of junk I've ever come across. My kids described it as a dirty dog bed - I wouldn't let my dog sleep on it! You had to wear shoes inside as the floors left your feet black and grimy. There were no vacuums or mop so we couldnt even do a bit of our own cleaning. The ONLY good thing was the pool, although the spa did sound like a jet taking off... The apartments are only 5yrs old and have clearly never been maintained or regularly cleaned. You'd think with the amount of poor reviews received, management would up their game. Do yourself a favour and stay somewhere else!!

-Room lighting all different colours, mixture of warm and cool white on same switch..
-Drier worked when it wanted too, other appliances outdated.
-Carpark sounded like constant bombs, from the idiots above dropping weights on the floor at Snapfitness gym.
-Blinds in bedroom didn't go all the way down, causing excess light in bedroom.
-The staff were Lovely, just a pity the rooms weren't maintained to a higher standard.

This place is disgusting. Checked out within hours of checking in. Apartment was FILTHY! Dust everywhere, benches unwiped, ants, none of the air conditioners worked and they were covered in THICK dust as if they have never been cleaned, dirty marks on every single wall, carpet and curtain. Couch was covered in stains. The whole place stunk. I cancelled our 2 week stay and found somewhere else.

It was my second visit to Vine Hotels in Townsville. My first stay at their Islington property left me disappointed with a run-down facility, but what bothered me the most was the terrible service I received from the staff. The receptionist, who was also a heavy smoker, was incredibly rude and unprofessional. I didn't even realize she was the receptionist at first, and her smoking near the entrance was quite off-putting.||During my three-day stay, I encountered numerous issues and decided to check out earlier than planned due to her attitude and the overall bad experience. It happened just five weeks ago, and the lack of basic courtesy and respect from the staff was disheartening.||I wasn't alone in this experience; others at the pool area shared similar stories. One guest recommended trying the Holborn property, where she had received excellent service from well-mannered staff. So, I decided to book a stay at Holborn with my partner and her sister. However, to my disappointment, I found the same rude lady at Holborn. When I tried to inquire about her name, she became defensive and uncooperative.||I don't typically post reviews, but I felt compelled to share this experience with others regarding Vine Hotels in Townsville. The smoking habits of the staff, the lack of professionalism, and the inconvenience I faced when trying to get assistance were frustrating. I've decided never to stay at this place again and will seek alternative accommodations for future visits to Townsville.||It's my hope that the management takes note of these issues and addresses them promptly. As a salesperson who travels extensively throughout Queensland, I will continue to share my experience until these problems are resolved. I apologize for not being able to recall the receptionist's name, but she was around 5 feet tall and appeared to be in her late 60s to early 70s, while the other smoker was around 45-50 years old. Never again.

You do get what you pay for, and at $266 for 2 nights, you get a very dirty room.

The carpets were stained in multiple spots, dust absolutely everywhere. There were dust socks on the fans. However, they clearly haven't been changed or cleaned in months, as someone with asthma the layers of dust made it particularly hard for me to breathe.

There were also stains all over the dooner, and instead of using dooner covers, it was folded between 2 flat sheets; meaning when we went to bed, the sheets unravelled revealing the discussing stains that appeared to be blood and urine or sweat. The staff were accommodating and polite when asked for new clean linen and replaced the filthy dooner with a clean one. However, they still rapped it between 2 flat sheets, leading me to believe they do not use dooner covers at all.

Location wise, it was very close to the city, cowboys centre, and races track and had a lovely hot pot and kareon BBQ place right across the parking lot.

Easy to find, and the after-hours check-in service was a breath.

Be very careful if you use the pool, however, as the wooden boards around it are soft and rooting. I would call it a major safety issue as the boards on the stairs leading to the pool as so soft the they bend under your feet coursing a slip hazard.
