A great destination for a Summer family outing.
What to expect:
- small cafe serving generous and delicious fare.
- purchase a variety of berries from the farm shop or collect a plastic tub and pick your own from the areas near the cafe marked with an "open sign".
-toilets availability
-indoor and outdoor seating and children's play things near the outdoor seating.
- there were a few areas which were very muddy, most people there avoided these rows, however this was where we found the best berries (ofcourse) so bring gumboots if you want to get into the muddy places.

Definitely one of the best u pick berries in this region!
Only the strawberries were ready to be picked but they were of amazing size and sweetness! Probably the best strawberries I’ve ever had!
Prices were also super reasonable
$10 per kg
The cafe makes lots of treats in house, their sausage rolls and the scones with house made strawberry and raspberry jam were excellent!
Definitely worth the drive from Launceston and a must visit for families with kids!

Came on a rainy day, enjoyed the breakfast and hot raspberry chocolate. The food and drinks are rather good on a cold day. As of today, only strawberries are available for picking, and is charged based on per box roughly 500g for 6 AUD. Alternatively, you can buy it on the spot.

Had a big breakfast at Hillwood Berries Farmgate and was quite satisfied. The bacon and eggs were nicely cooked, though a bit on the salty side. The coffee was good, complementing the meal well. The strawberries were impressively large, and all the other berries looked fresh and delicious.

The staff were nice and welcoming, adding to the positive experience. With plenty of parking available, it’s a convenient and enjoyable pit stop during a journey. Overall, it’s a great place to take a break, enjoy a hearty breakfast, and maybe pick up some fresh berries.

Strawberries : 10AUD/kg, other berries: 30AUD/kg.
