I had my wedding here a few weeks ago & the garden was stunning! Sarah is friendly & helpful & went out of her way to help me achieve the vision I had for the day. It was a perfect setting to pledge our love & commitment to each other, we will never forget our day there!!

Disappointing gardens in a lovely location but probably wrong time of year to see them. I expect Spring time would be better but it was a March open day and half the garden looked tired and unkept. Not really worth the time and effort to get there.

Absolutely gorgeous sprawling gardens, I would give my left arm to live here. My sister had her wedding a couple of weeks and she was just so happy, it couldn't have been a nicer. The owner was so good and you can tell how much work they pour into the place.

Absolutely beautiful gardens. Our daughter and son in law were recently married at Hillandale Gardens and the gardens could not have been more perfect. Just such a beautiful setting and atmosphere. The owner, Sarah, was so accommodating and welcoming. Thank you Sarah, so much for sharing your little bit of heaven with us.

I have been a visitor to Hillandale since 2010 and am a huge fan.
But mostly, I am in awe of the way the gardens are looked after and managed by mostly Sarah and in a way that is so natural, so in tune with the seasons and changes in the plant cycles that the beauty is truly magical all year round.
There is very little in the way of artiface or folly for folly sake. This is a wonderful opportunity to see a very old Australian garden lovingly nurtured and evolving year on year. The amount of work with very little help is staggering and the result is spectacular.

It disappoints me to see very unfair criticism of the garden here and do you realise that the meanness may be a reason that the garden is no longer open to the public? If that is your view, then consider that this garden is not for you... move along, nothing to see here.

Sarah chose to share her world with us - she didn't have to. It takes a lot of work to open the garden and you didn't need to be so unkind.

I hope one day Sarah will decide to share it again with us. It is a world class garden and should be admired.
