This house exceeded our expectations. Lovely views, close to town with everything you need for a relaxed country stay. Perfect for a group of 6, as a get together or a peaceful night away for 2. Esk is a lovely town with great food and friendly vibes. Diane is a perfect host and is more then accomodating for all you need. We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend. 😊

My fiance and I spent the weekend it was the most peaceful, relaxing weekend.
Diane was amazing, the views were magnificent. The wildlife that you see is amazing it was close to the local shops.
The house is absolutely stunning and spacious, the spa bath was beautiful.
We will definitely be returning again.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Hill House Esk in the beautiful Somerset region, and it was nothing short of incredible. The house itself is stunning, with charming exposed timber beams and a gorgeous stone fireplace that makes it feel so warm and inviting. The spa was a perfect way to unwind and soak in the tranquility of this amazing place. But what truly took my breath away was the outstanding view of Glen Rock mountain—absolutely unforgettable! If you're looking for a peaceful and picturesque retreat, this is the place to be. I can't recommend it enough!

Staying overnight in Esk was ideal, as we had an event at the Somerset Civic Centre. Esk is a charming town in the Scenic Rim, and Hill House offers an extraordinary view of Mount Glen Rock. It’s an enchanting retreat, blending rustic charm, modern comfort, and traditional Aussie friendliness.

From the moment you approach, you're embraced by tranquillity. The house, set high on a large block, is surrounded by lush greenery with serene landscapes visible from every window, creating an instant sense of ease. Hill House’s prime location—within walking distance of the town centre—makes it perfect for exploring. With Wivenhoe Dam and nearby walking trails, there’s plenty to discover during your stay.

The interior is just as captivating as the exterior, with spacious rooms and quirky yet inviting decor. The eclectic mix of vintage furnishings and modern conveniences creates a cosy atmosphere. But beware—it’s Hill House, after all; perhaps there’s a skeleton in the closet!

Each room is thoughtfully decorated, with large windows allowing natural light to flood in. The property is well-equipped with all amenities needed for a comfortable stay, including air conditioning for the warmer months and a rustic fireplace for the winter. The kitchen, complete with a beautiful old cast iron stove, is fully stocked for meal preparation, adding to the home-away-from-home experience. We were treated to unexpected goodies, and there are even day beds inside and out, perfect for relaxing with a book.

There are three large bedrooms, all with double queen beds, designed for relaxation. The master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and a walk-in wardrobe. The bathroom is spacious and well-designed, featuring one of the largest spa baths I’ve ever seen in an accommodation setting. The sandstone throughout the house is delightful, and it’s impeccably clean, contributing to an incredibly comfortable and stress-free stay.

Customer service at Hill House is exceptional. Diane is incredibly generous with her hospitality and time. The guest book is full of stories about how Diane and her husband Bill have gone above and beyond for their guests. They ensure everyone feels welcome and cared for throughout their stay.

Despite its many positives, the quirky layout of the house might not suit everyone. I loved the character and uniqueness of the space, but some may prefer a more modern environment. Hill House is a country gem, filled with sandstone, rustic charm, and love.

I cannot stress enough how magical this property is. The upstairs balcony is the perfect spot to stargaze, and the view of Mount Glen Rock is stunning. We only stayed one night, so we didn’t get to enjoy all the amenities, but the main bathroom offers an amazing view that warrants a glass of wine and a bath bomb!

Hill House is a delightful retreat, offering a blend of comfort, charm, and natural beauty. Its ideal location, combined with thoughtful interiors and excellent amenities, makes it perfect for escaping into Queensland’s peaceful countryside. Whether travelling with family, friends, or pets, Hill House provides a welcoming and serene environment. I look forward to returning next year, this time with the children, and staying longer! This property is perfect for groups, families, and couples alike—it has something for everyone.

Location: Excellent, close to town and attractions. Safe! Check-in/Check-out: Easy, host lives next door. Room Quality: Great. Comfortable main bed. Pillows could have been better, but they were sufficient and clean! Bathroom Quality: Clean, stunning ensuite off the main bedroom. The main bathroom is new and very clean. Provided with shampoo and personal care items. Facilities and Amenities: Excellent and comfortable. Air conditioning, heating, open-plan living area, large verandah with outdoor seating and dining. Service: Amazing. Very friendly hosts. Above and beyond. Value for Money: Excellent, especially considering other options in the area. Cleanliness and Hygiene: Very clean. Overall Experience: Magnificent. Perfect for our needs.
