Fantastic cafe, really good coffee and the breakfast items are great as well. The creme brulee sourdough dish was outstanding.

I used to enjoy Heyday Cafe in Townsville, but sadly, my recent visit left much to be desired. The staff seemed uninterested in providing any level of customer service, with no pleasantries like “please” or “thank you” during the ordering process. One staff member, in particular—the girl wearing leopard-print pants—stood out for her lack of manners and professionalism.

Instead of focusing on customers, the staff appeared more engaged in talking amongst themselves, eating and scrolling on their phones. It felt as though the patrons were an inconvenience rather than the priority.

It’s disappointing to see a café that once had a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere lose its appeal so drastically. I hope the management addresses these issues, as a return to good customer service could easily bring back the charm that Heyday Cafe used to have.

Townsville- Friendly service, not over the top hype you see in some customers service places.. it's early I don't wanna be bombarded with questions about my day, so perfect customer service in my eyes.
Food was delicious, fresh fruit, yummy yoghurt.
Coffee also great! 5 starts all round from me.

Amazing atmosphere and very aesthetically pleasing environment and food. Great place for studying! Regularly we see NQ cowboys players having breakfast there. Would definitely recommend!

A great venue, down the bottom end of Flinders, very deceiving look from the outside. Large venue inside with the industrial vibe, large counter plonked in middle surrounded by tables at front and lounges and booth style seats, set-up some steps behind counter.
Appears to be a trending place for young mothers and prams, and the 'straight from gym' types wanting a take away coffee/light breakfast.
Food was good and delivered reasonably quick. This was the corn fritters, which was served- (with slices of corn on the husk-grilled) , in meat ball style and a poached egg!

Our go to brekky in townsville. Its always reliably good! I've had heaps of different items and they've always been really yummy and filling. They're meals always have some kind of fun twist and I've never regretted trying something I've never had before here.

The price point is not too bad considering the quality and serving size and the effort they put into making each dish fresh.

Friday knock-offs are a vibe, highly recommend and wish they did it more often.

The atmosphere is really nice and makes you feel like you aren't in Townsville lol
