Well, how things have changed. The club is 1 of the best in the Bay. 2 NEW greens, nice cold beers, friendly staff & now every first Friday of the month, they have great 2 course meals & live entertainment for $17.50. Great value, can't beat that.

As a visitor, I recently played and was disappointed by the attitude of a member who was skipper who regularly critised me for my play during the day. The behaviour by this member (who is also a coach), was noticed by players in our group. I think this a blight on an otherwise great club. Besides that, other club members were very welcoming and I had a lovely day.

Depending on personal preferences this could be a awesome local if you like a quiet beer, in a clean establishment, if you like lawn bowls your on a win, with all the greens shaded and a huge area.
Also has an older pub feel, and within 20 minutes of being here the bar lady remembered my name and drink preference, I was greeted by a rather friendly group of blokes who were participating in bowls teams.
Worth a visit if you want to try somewhere else, and not to many pokies... so people here still know to hold a conversation.
Good to spend in the smaller venues too, you can see what your moneys going to, and patronage is appreciated.

We were staying next door at the tourist park. They were friendly enough to let us play bowl before dusk for a bargain price of $4 each. Super friendly, plus it was happy hour from 5:30 - 7:30. Plenty of people as well enjoying the decent portioned meals.

We stayed next door at the caravan park and dropped in for an ice cold beer and a feed. Wow, don't tell anyone about the 1970's prices. My wife had the steak and calamari special ($18), and I had a very fresh chicken Parma ($17). The chef is amazing. Food was awesome.
