What a great free place to go !!!
Just don't forget the mosquito repellent as will definitely be needed !
Should have a donation box at entry/exit as we definitely would've added to it (even just a gold coin each)
Nice clean toilets too 👍😀

A hidden treasure in Hervey Bay. I was delighted to find a labyrinth. The memorial trees of locals who hit the century was touching and there Chinese Gardens so beautiful.

Wonderful serene place to take a walk, with both easily-accessed attractions to check out and plenty of walking paths further in. Orchid House worth a look, but for me the star of the show is the Chinese gardens and the viewing platform over the pond. Beautiful spot early in the morning.

Pretty good gardens. The majority of it seems to be just a trail through some bush land. I thought there would be some more features to be honest. It does give a feel of a bush walk without actually having to go into the bush.
There is a tiny Chinese gardens section which is quite well maintained.
There is also a tiny children's play area.

Hervey Bay Botanic Garden is a good garden with a lot of potential, but I believe there is room for improvement. The overall experience was positive, and I enjoyed exploring the garden's beauty.
However, I noticed a few areas where they could enhance the visitor experience. Firstly, some parts of the garden appeared to be in need of maintenance, such as overgrown plants and uneven pathways, which made navigation a bit challenging.

Secondly, I would have appreciated more informative signs or plaques about the various plant species and their significance. This would have added an educational aspect to the visit and made it more engaging for visitors.

Additionally, while the garden was enjoyable, I felt that the overall design and layout could be further enhanced to create a more harmonious and captivating environment.

Despite these points, I still had a pleasant time, and with some improvements, the Hervey Bay Botanic Garden could become an even more delightful attraction for nature enthusiasts and visitors alike
