I chose the Breakfast Burger and Large cappuccino and I must day hands down the best “Brekky Burger” I’ve ever had.
The young crew that were on this morning were delightful and the atmosphere is serene. If you want a nice spot for beautiful views of the Hawksbury river and mountain surrounds, this is the spot! The prices are reasonable considering the quality of the ingredients within my food. I will be back with the kids next time ☺️

Cute little cafe with tasty food and coffee, and beautiful views! They also have a small selection of lollies and a play area for kids. Recommend sitting on the outside veranda for the views !

Definitely try the slow roasted lamb, we both got it and it was amazing. The smoothies on offer are also delicious

We ate several meals here during the June long weekend. The staff are very welcoming and friendly and the meals we had were delicious. The breakfast burger was a step up from an ordinary bacon and egg roll, the crispy rosti a clever addition. Vietnamese pork roll was tasty and was my lunch staple, loved it! If you find it's busy when you arrive, consider getting take away and eating by the waters edge or in the park while the kids play. Lovely view from the verandah, so serene. Unfortunately both ferries were out of action that weekend, but staff were helpful and let us know about fruit picking which was on the same side of the river. Thanks for helping make our weekend memorable. Will definitely be back.

While I can appreciate the lovely views from the outdoor dining room, I am giving a low rating to Heritage Valley Cafe as the food just wasn't very good.
I visited for a breakfast while in town. It was a nice morning to sit outside and enjoy a good breakfast ahead of a day of traveling.
The mushrooms on toast was very average and I would not recommend it. In addition to the dish I ordered a poached egg and a hash brown.
When my dish arrived, it was cold. Not even warm.. cold which meant that the toast was hard and it lacked flavour. Poached eggs can be tricky to make, but from what I was served, it was obvious that the chef could not make a poached egg either. They should remove that as an option if the kitchen staff are unable to fulfil it. Another small thing that went wrong is that I asked for the hash brown on the side, instead it came on one of the main dishes.
Whatever the reasons for it, the food was not good and because of that, I would not recommend visiting.

Great little cafe. Prompt and friendly service. Went twice and ordered a variety of menu items, all of which were spot on. Try the scones.
