Old pub on the outside but very modern inside. Beers were reasonable price. Had 1 and left.
Reply. 3 stars is good. 4 - above expectation, 5 - Outstanding. Your place lacked a bit of atmosphere but it was around 2pm. Don't really have a problem with your pub

Finally gave this place a go now that the kitchen is open and it didn't disappoint.

Ordered the schnitzel burger and the schnitzel with chips and salad. Both good portions, fresh and delicious. I loved the creamy dressing on the garden salad and the chicken was very tender and juicy.

The gravy could have been a little thicker but that's just personal preference. I would also ditch the newspaper, wooden board and deep fryer plating props as they are a little dated.

Will def be back to try other options on the menu and to take part in trivia. It looked so fun in the courtyard!

We popped in to see the new look bar - which has just reopened post a major renovation. The bar is vast - and lit up like a football field. Please turn the lights down - it felt v sterile and the glare actually hurt my eyes. At the moment it's not a place I'd return to - not helped by a truly awful glass of Pinot grigio and sports screens everywhere. On a positive note - the outdoor area looks better. And in summer could be a decent spot to have a beer. Kitchen not yet open but we were told the chef is coming from Headlands - which serves terrible food. So I can't imagine it's going to be good. But you never know.

Second visit to eat at the renovated pub with a newly opened kitchen. Very impressed, menu a mix of pub classics and asian dishes. The pork belly Bao Buns are delicious, the Miso glazed eggplant salad was amaz9ing with its flavours and crunch. Friends had salmon crudo, steak and snittys, everyone was impressed. Acoustic are good, except they leave the doors open and you can hear traffic.
No food available due to renovations. So eat before going to see a live act.

Watched the band last night. Paid $40 x 2 to watch the band. Got a band on our wrists. Waste of money, apart from the band being great, half the people did not pay and were still allowed to walk into the area without wrist bands. Next time won't pay like alot didnt and just watch the band.
