Popped in to take advantage of a monthly special. After ordering mine and a friends, I expected to pay said price. I approached Liz to discuss to which a cold unpleasant face is looking at me and says it's through the app. I explained i was using the app to which her response was an abrupt answer of it's limited to 1 deal per day. Walked away thinking wow, that's how they treat customers!! My next interaction with Liz was putting keno on to which again couldn't pull a smile or even look happy to be there. All while eating during my transaction and telling her staff to not be on their phone in front of customers. My opinion is she could do with some customer service refreshed skills before business is affected beyond repair
We organised to sign up my friend and order their deal, but unfortunately there was an issue on confirmation causing incorrect charge.
Luckily young Lia was passing by which meant I avoided interaction with Liz. Lia was a breath of fresh air and her customer service and smile redeemed what was looking like a horrible lunch.
Lia would be an asset to any company, I'd be investing in her. 10/10 Lia

Honest review of this place hands down after 3 years living in Cairns and being very disappointed with the food quality. this is hands down the best Bistro food quality I’ve experienced so far in Australia. I want to stress I am a fussy eater and this was a gem of a meal. I recommend them not only for the footy experience but for the next level food. Wow is all I can say. The rooms are also comfortable with quality mattress and everything you need to be comfortable. The staff are very friendly and the sports bar was great.

I’ve been a regular visitor at the Hendon for a while now, and it never fails to impress! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by a warm and welcoming atmosphere that perfectly balances cozy charm with vibrant energy.

The staff here are top-notch—friendly, attentive, and always happy to recommend their favorite drinks or dishes. Speaking of which, the Chicken wings & Steak Sandwich are absolutely amazing! They clearly put care into sourcing quality ingredients and crafting unique flavors.

The pub’s ambiance is another standout feature. Whether you’re looking for a laid-back spot to unwind after work or a lively evening with friends, The Hendon caters to everyone. The recent events add an extra layer of fun and keep me coming back.

If you’re in the Western suburbs and haven’t been to The Hendon yet, you’re seriously missing out. It’s a true local treasure, and I can’t recommend it enough!

For value for money you can’t beat these rooms with an ensuite, good air-conditioning, large bar fridge great showers and a good size room.
They even supply complimentary bottles of water and on the first night you get a little bag of lollies what a great Touch. We stay in a different motel twice a week every week because of work commitments and this would have to be at the top of our list. We will certainly be back again.

Came for tea Saturday night and I had the braised beef cheeks.They were delicious however the portion was very small.I was still hungry after finishing.Just wanted to give feedback.You only learn from people's experiences

Overall, it was a very friendly place to stay. Our room was a bit small but that was our fault for not booking a bigger room. Loved the hotel and meals.
