Hemingway Brewery may have a small food menu, but when you do everything this well, you don’t need a massive selection! Every dish we tried was excellent. The fish tacos were substantial, the croquettes were big, tasty, and bursting with flavor, and the flash-fried squid was unbelievably fresh—can’t stop raving about it! The coconut prawns were also delicious, and even the margarita pizza was sizable and satisfying.

To top it all off, we really enjoyed the Mr Wong beer. The staff was super helpful and accommodating, making the whole experience even better. Definitely worth a visit!

Great simple pub food, but with a fantastic range of local beer on tap!

Only suggestion, its dark around the tables and had to use a torch to read the small writing on the menus..

Fantastic brewery and great beers! Food was delicious, some games and plenty of high chairs for the kiddos. Instagram account is shared with the cairns Hemmingways so be careful if you plan to attend an event and be sure it’s the port Douglas Hem and not the Cairns one.

Unreal location, my partner and I watched the sunset from the outside picnic tables and wow what a beautiful place. The beers were delicious as well. We shared a tasting paddle and the bartenders were very knowledgeable about the beers. They were incredibly helpful in finding us some great brews. Staff very friendly and outgoing. Definitely will be coming back next time we’re in Port Douglas.

Great range of locally brewed beers. Very nice menu to complement and views over the water. Can be a bit rowdy in the evenings so if you want a more chill vibe, lunch is a good option.

Enjoy a local brew accessible waterfront dining and drinks at its best.
The pizza is great for a dinner with the family or when you are having a party. Waterfront view overlooking boats and distant mountains with a beautiful yellow setting sun. Friendly staff willing to help with carrying food to table as it is a get-it-yourself restaurant. The pilsner and hazy ale suit the warmer weather and it is interesting watching the boats come in after a day out in the Coral Sea.

Hemingways had a nice atmosphere and positioned in one of the best spots in the marina.

The beers were ok but slightly overpriced and I didn't enjoy them as much as I'd hoped. Food was good but limited service as we were outside of their main meal times which again. Was a bit disappointing.

It's worth a visit and staff were welcoming.
