Charters Towers Indian food
This family run restaurant is the only option for Indian food in Charters Towers. The service is friendly and the food is good, if not really authentic. The prices and portions are reasonable and BYO for $2 per person is a plus.

Our family have been enjoying take away from Heera for many years and last night we decided to take some out of town friends to try the dine in experience. We couldn't be happier with our decision, with exceptional service that accommodated all our requirements and delivered a variety of dishes. Every dish arrived at just the right moment bursting with flavour and where specified followed up by spice levels that you couldn't fault. Our entire group were in agreement that this was the best Indian experience we've ever had and couldn't complimented the staff and chef enough.

My partner and I dined on Thursday 30th January 2025 after a long road trip from Longreach. The food was exceptional with the spice just right. The owners were lovely and very friendly, which made a good impression on us. If we lived in Charters Towers we would certainly dine there again. Good job 👍

This is was seriously some of the best Indian I’ve had. Was going to spend a second night eating at Rix but they had a private function - and I’m glad they did it meant I looked elsewhere.
The restaurant’s decor is simple and bland but in stark contrast the food is just superb. I had the Goan Fish and the Butter Chicken + a Kashmiri Naan. It was all so tasty. As I ate quite a number of locals came in and I think every one of them had the Goan Fish as a part of their order. That’s saying something I guess.
It’s BYO so grab a bottle - you won’t be disappointed.

OMG… Best Indian food i have ever eaten… the previous reviews were spot on. Great food, very friendly service. Highly recommend to anyone that is staying the night in the Towers. BYO great option also.

I never give reviews! But I was so blown away with how delicious it was, I had to let everyone know!
The kids were extremely quiet at the dinner table for the first time ever, just enjoying the different & delicious flavours ! Thank you for sharing your beautiful culture and food with us & Charters Towers !

Just wow! We are in town for a couple of nights and decided to eat at Heera tonight. I did not expect the food to be so amazing! Everything was perfection. And the family that owns the restaurant are just the loveliest people. If we ever come back to Charters Towers, this is the first place we will dine at.
