We Stayed 1 night with Judy and Graham in the summer of 2015 with our daughter and puppy dog.
It was absolutely magically. The little apartment that is the accommodation is very neat and tidy and well thought out. Being the middle of summer when we visited the Airconditioning was just a delight. The kitchen/dining/lounge is opened planned, so you don't feel closed in like hotel rooms.
The pool felt like a tropical oasis and was nice and refreshing to swim in. And the cooked breakfast in the morning was AMAZING.
Oh and don't forget to try some of Judy's Relishes. They are the bomb.

My family and I relocated to Mackay from Brisbane and needed pet friendly accommodation for one night as we were to arrive a day ahead of our furniture. Judy and Graham were more than accommodating and provided a very comfortable fully functional one bedroom cottage with a fold out sofa for our daughter. The cottage contains a big bathroom, fully fitted kitchen and laundry, comfortable seating and eating areas with linen and kitchen utilities etc. provided.
Our two dogs were welcome to stay in the cottage with us as they were house trained and my daughter enjoyed a late swim in the pool.
The breakfast is fantastic, big choice of cooked and non-cooked offerings and you get to choose a jar of tomato relish to use over breakfast and keep the remainder. I chose the hot one with chilli, which is by far the best relish I have ever had, excellent on Sausages.
I cannot recommend the Hay Point Bed and Breakfast strongly enough. If you need accommodation close to Mackay (20 minutes or so south), look no further.

We had the most wonderful stay at Hay Point, it’s Heaven on a Stick.
The hosts are so generous sharing their property with our two standard labradoodles. If you are looking for that special peaceful beautiful place to stay with your fur babies I can’t recom Hay Point enough. It’s so pretty the independent granny flat is well appointed, immuclate, comfortable relaxing and the view from all the windows is so gorgeous.
Can’t wait to visit again.

Beautifully appointed accommodation, wonderful breakfast and gorgeous views over the QLD countryside. Close to Sarina and beaches and only a half hour drive to Mackay. We were made to feel very welcome and at home travelling with our 4 year-old twin girls (who loved the swimming pool, the chooks and the goats). Very highly recommended.

Having travelled 8 hours with our Leonberger in the car, Hay Point Country Bed and Breakfast was a very welcome site! Location is quite, with beautiful rural views. Accommodation is clean and welcoming. Fantastic option when travelling with a pet!

I have stayed at the BnB on a couple of occasions now and have enjoyed the visits when i am passing through the Mackay region. Judy and Graham are excellent hosts and provide a very comfortable and clean place to stay. We organised in advance to have dinner prepared during our work trips which was very satisfying and the breakfast was also delicious, in particular, the home made relish! Thank you for having us

A genuine country B&B with goats, garden, chickens, ducks and birds. The hosts are delightful people and their hospitality is wonderful. It is a very relaxing and enjoyable place. We highly recommend Hay Point Country B&B.

This was a fabulous place to stay and more so being able to have my dog stay too. The personalised touches were greatly appreciated and the location just perfect. Will be sure to stay again. Highly recommended.
