We have just returned from five days at Haven House. We found it to be clean and comfortable. We were very warm, inspire of the weather. As there were only two of us, we closed off the rooms we didn't use and, with the heater in the bedroom and the air conditioner in the living area we were not cold.||The house has enough beds for 8 people, but, because of the bathroom/ laundry set up, I would not stay there with a group of 8 adults. The bathroom/laundry is light and airy, but shower, bath, toilet and washing machine are all in the one room.||The house is in an old, but pleasant part of Launceston, not to far from the city centre. The house itself is quite old, but we would stay there again if we were in the city.

This house was in a great location and had a great backyard for the kids. The heaters in 2 rooms did not work and bedding was inadequate. Was too cold to be truly comfortable. No DVD or dishwasher despite photos. The main bed was uncomfortable and the street light shines in. Also we booked here for a 3 bedroom house but 1 bedroom was locked, this was not what I booked.

The house is very clean and spacious, with three good size bedrooms at the front of the house (two with queen beds and one with two sets of bunks), two living/lounge areas at the back of the house and one good size bathroom (with a separate bath and shower and washing machine and dryer). The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, crockery and cutlery. The fridge is full size. ||||There is a small fully fenced backyard with a grassed area for children to run around. ||||There is off street parking for one car and plenty of parking on the street if needed. ||||The house is a five minute drive from the centre of the city and two minutes from the Museum and City Park. There is a small supermarket near by with larger ones a short drive away. ||||A great house in a quiet street close to the main attractions of Launceston. Good value for money and a great alternative to a hotel for families who want space.

Spacious house, very spacious kitchen, modern bathroom/laundry and clean. Washing machine and dryer provided. Two living areas, one at the back with very comfortable lounge chairs and the other was together with the formal dining area. It was very humid when we visited Launceston but the air-con in the back tv area was very powerful.

Found the house to be clean, comfortable with good clean kitchen a facilities and three good size bedrooms with comfortable beds. House had a nice old charm about it we all felt very comfortable. Was a quiet neighbourhood and would no hesitate in staying again.

We also had high hopes based on the photos we saw online. The cottage was run down, unclean and provided mismatched poor quality towels , sheets and quilt covers that looked dirty. The neighbourhood was also generally dodgy if you know what I mean. You had to have a car or want to walk a long way to get anywhere. Do not recommend and put us off Launceston. My brother lives there in a lovely area called Trevallyn which is outstanding. Good thing was it was warm but heater on wall vibrated badly.

We had high hopes of this house to be cute and comfortable BUT we found it in need of maintenance and general spring cleaning. The linen was old and of poor quality, the kitchen crockery was mismatched, the wine glasses were plastic, the dishwasher didn't work, the microwave died, there were a number of light globes that didn't work and, the heat lights / fan in the bathroom had a mind of its own. The glassware was free "give a ways" from a variety of events and festivals and an insult to our fine Tassie wine tasting. Oh yes, and let's not forget the smoke alarm that decided to go off at 9pm without provocation.||During our 2 week holiday traversing Tasmania this accommodation was grossly inferior to all others however, with attention, maintenance and new equipment this house would be great.

A nice house with lots of character and in a handy location.. Very clean and well appointed. ||All three bedrooms are a good size and very comfortable. The kitchen, bathroom and laundry facilities are of a high standard. Very good value.
