We stayed in the gypsy caravan
What a novel idea for accommodation
Absolutely loved it
Our dinner was delicious. Good to eat flavoursome food. The owners are a lovely couple. I love the manor design and the wonderful things that make it remarkably unique.

We had a spacious and well appointed apartment in the main house - Woodburn. Plenty of room for the 4 of us. The setting is idyllic and is in close reach of Richmond village with its historic buildings and great bakery. We were able to walk into town in about 25 minutes. |The accommodation is a little dated now with rather old fashioned decor and furnishings: broken floor tiles in the bathroom, chipped paintwork, minimal equipment in the ‘kitchenette’. All a bit tired. On arrival we had to fix a bed leg and reported a constantly running bathroom extractor fan. We only saw the owners on check in and check out so, you are left to your own devices throughout your stay but this is Airbnb so that is to be expected. We stayed 8 days and never saw them again. We ate in the restaurant on our first night - plain fare but plenty of it. |We cannot comment on the rest of the accommodation which includes self contained units and a wagon. |All perfectly pleasant and we had a peaceful stay which suited us well and was comfortable enough.

I stayed with a friend there for a week. The room had a lovely romantic feel with antique furniture and quirky decoration. There was a basic kitchen [2 burner cooktop, microwave, jug, toaster, cutlery & crockery. Need pots/pans to cook though].

Working spa in room. Nice aircon for hot days [lol although we hit Tassie winter so toasty warm instead].

Big screen TV & nice daybed to snuggle on.

Lovely view & quite close to the main street of Richmond with all their activities.

They can provide dinner in their dining room, although we chose to cook for ourselves. Did take advantage of their $17 full breakfasts on a couple of days. Their coffee was great & there is a lovely courtyard you can sit at outside.

Lots of native animals about.

Oh & even though the premises appeared busy, rooms are well insulated, sound proofed and quite with defent sun-block curtains.

Enjoyed our stay.
All Thanks to our hosts.

We had an awesome experience staying here for 2 nights! Love the vintage feel of the property! Colin was so accomodating and welcoming to us, he gave us food to feed the horses and some tips of things to do in the area. It was a very homely feel in the room. Reccomend !!

A Truly Beautiful Retreat!

We spent our Christmas holidays here, and it was the perfect spot for a peaceful and relaxing getaway. The manor is absolutely stunning, and we couldn’t resist taking plenty of photos in front of its charming facade. Surrounded by fresh air and a calm, inviting atmosphere, it felt like a breath of serenity.

The owners were incredibly warm and welcoming, making our stay even more delightful. Its location is convenient too—just a 30-minute drive to downtown and a little over an hour to the Port Arthur Historic Sites. Richmond itself is brimming with attractions, including the iconic Richmond Bridge.

Our experience here was nothing short of wonderful, and I’d highly recommend this place to anyone seeking a truly relaxing holiday escape.

Room was very comfortable, with stylish furniture throughout. Meals were brought to room, which was so much appreciated. So blissfully quiet. Great to be greeted by farm animals (sheep and horses) near front door of room.

We made a booking for ten in October 24 later in October we changed the booking to seven and moved it one day later to stay in February 25.
When I called the day we were due to stay I was told the booking had not been moved and there was no vacancies for tonight.
We then attended the venue and showed the staff my email confirming my date for our stay.
The rude elderly man at reception even found an in-house email confirming the date change that had not been actioned.
I was very polite but met with nothing but rude aggression. There was not even a phone call to see if we were attending.
They were happy to keep our money.
When we were there we had a look around.
It’s nothing like the photos and the driveway is not user friendly, fake cobblestone.
After a frantic search we found a house in a Hobart suburb that was much better and only $600, $110 cheaper than the $710 Hatchers stole.
Much better options available than this tip.
