Hatch Specialty Coffee - Gympie, Queensland

I have only tried the cold brew coffee at the Hatch and hot coffee for my mother who lives locally. I don't know what gluten free treats they do or don't have but I'll get around to checking that out one day when I'm up there.

I can't say what the hot coffee is like but mum didn't complain but beyond that her review may not be very useful. Mum loves coffee but her coffee drinking habits wouldn't excite most coffee enthusiasts.

The cold brew on the other hand, is nice. There is a lot of variance from batch to batch and they have been sold out in the past but that's what happens with cold brew, especially if sales might be inconsistent due to limited local appeal. (NOTE: attached split screen photos were taken at different times of day but one day apart. The actual difference would be less but still quite obvious)
[EDIT: The cold brew has been quite poor the last couple of times I went there. They previously had Pinacle Beverages Kyoto black canned cold brew but they don't seem to stock it anymore. When I enquired about it the girl just said "whatever's there" which is in keeping with how they serve me. I try to be friendly but they never return the sentiment even though they seem very friendly to other customers. I can only guess I'm not part of their click.

I'm thankful for such a serious coffee shop in Gympie. There are other nice cafes but they aren't coffee focused and even the request for cold brew will get an enthusiastic, "I can do you an iced long black" rather than, "sorry no, I can only do an iced long black". The first option showing that they have no idea how much difference there is between the two.

The Hatch would do well in the big smoke so it's great to find it a couple of blocks from mum's house in Gympie.

Was driving around Gympie trying to spot an easy access coffee/cafe on our way to Goomeri. Found the Hatch. Awesome coffee, such polite service and scored a beautiful salad as well. Do yourself a favour……..Absolutely 5 stars

The Hatch Specialty Coffee in Gympie is an absolute gem! The coffee is top-notch, the atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Make sure to stop by and treat yourself if you’re passing through, or if you’re a local make the hatch your new local - you won't be disappointed! 5 stars all the way!

Consistently the best coffee in Gympie, in my humble opinion. Always fast and friendly service, great park across the street to enjoy your delicious caffeine fix. Keep up the great work ladies.

It's hard to find a good coffee in Gympie but this little place is a winner. You can tell by the queue waiting for their orders that this is the place to go but despite the queue you don't wait long because it is so well staffed. My current go to for coffee in Gympie.

Hatch has consistently delicious coffee, a cool group of ladies working there, right across from a lovely little park where you can stroll or sit, parking is usually a breeze, and their new cafe seating area next door is a great addition. Highly recommend!
