What can i say this is & will forever be one of my most favourite places & holiday parks to go relax & unwind. Hat Head is such a beautiful quiet peaceful place. The park is well maintained & all there staff are welcoming. Nice flat level camp sites stayed here for the first ever in September & I can’t wait to return and soak up all the surroundings again.

We had an amazing couple of days at Hat Head. This park has an incredible location, tucked between Korogoro creek and the main beach. There are some great walks over the headlands too. Incredible fishing, kayaking, swimming and the river is kid friendly. |Amenities were plentiful and spotlessly clean throughout our stay. The girls in the kiosk were incredibly friendly and helpful and stocked everything you could possible need. |Plenty of variety in sites, including shade and sun.

One of the most beautiful parks to stay in. Close to nature and the ocean. The staff were friendly and helpful. There are plenty of things to do especially if you love the water. It is central to bigger places like Kempsey and South West Rocks and other smaller communities are just a short car ride away. The only issue we had was that the water hose on our van was not long enough to reach the water outlet. Other than that it was fantastic!

What a wonderful little place on the mid north coast! |Hat Head Holiday park is well maintained with wonderful management. |The park has the most beautiful creek that wraps around the park and a beautiful beach to go with it. |The little bowlo next door has lovely cold drinks and food, and is so close which is a bonus. |We will be back

What makes this place amazing is the beach, the river and the headland. The walk around the Hat Head Cape is awesome with stunning views of the ocean and cliffs.
The powered sites are adequate although we got one with two trees on it and was a bit akward. Strange we were advised this was the only one while the site next to us empty the whole time.
Amenities are ok. Toilet block needs to be tidied up a bit more often but was mostly clean. Camp kitchen is mainly just a fridge.
A bit pricy.
Beware of thieves.
Look forward to coming back.

We didn't stay here but parked our car in here as it's open to day visitors. Had a look around the Holiday Park and seems a laid-back kind of place with usual camping grounds amenities. Thought the clothes lines were inventive.
We then ventured onto the sand by the river and then onto the beach.
It was a beautiful open, long beach that would be amazing to walk around if we had more time.
We found a bridge that crossed the river and found a walking trail, Korogoro, so we decided to venture. One way (left) was the river view, and the other way was the beach view, so we decided to go left and start the 3.4km loop.
We did about 1/2km when a sign stated that only experienced walkers to go any further, so we kept going. Overall, it was an adventurous climb with magnificent views. Much of the track was narrow, climbing over rocks and tree roots, but worth it, and according to my watch, we did 4.5km.
Hat Head is another beautiful spot for a stay, surf, walking, or a picnic.
Would highly recommend a visit, and we'll be back for more ventures!

Hat Head is such a beautiful spot but unfortunately our stay was floored by some holiday park issues. Staff were great. Friendly and helpful. Amenities are totally inadequate for the amount of people that fill the park on weekends. We had smokers on both sides of us with one only 2.5mts from our kitchen window. The smell blowing into our van was disgusting.
We could not open the windows without the van filling with smoke. There needs to be a better Smoking policy in place in all caravan parks. National Parks have a No smoking policy. Non smokers should not have to endure the stench of cigarette smoke while trying to enjoy a meal or drink all day.
Council needs to address these situations. Smoking is not allowed in common areas or cabins but it's ok to blow smoke on your neighbours.
This is 2024 not 1974.

Great place, but regulars are given priority bookings upon completion of their stay and they always rebook! New people are only allowed to check if there is anything left available in February, which means anyone that would like to take their family here for a holiday at Christmas and want to stay in a cabin, can Forget it!!! We have been trying for the last 10 years. Bit of a joke really, and Highly discriminate.
