City prices and coffee was over extracted Tea had the minimal amount of chai in the basket. Disappointing to see just another place that’s priced highly but offer sub par quality. We suspected this might be the case and unfortunately we were not wrong. If I wanted a $22 eggs Benedict breakfast I’d expect to be in the city somewhere not a small town. How do these shops manage to do business Staff was friendly but then I’d be too if I charge these prices.

Pleasant friendly staff. The menu is aimed at the breakfast crowd. A short lunch menu also available. Cafe closes at 2 pm. Decor is eclectic country style and caters for a mix of seating arrangements. Also some local produce available for purchase, like honey, preserves etc.

Dropped in for a Devonshire Tea and was very disappointed. The scones were quite small and only about 5cm high. They had been reheated in the microwave so they were very hot and very doughy. The raspberry jam? there was very little of it and it was very runny, more like a coulis. The cream was from a cream gun so when you put it on the hot scone it just instantly turned to liquid. Not an enjoyable eating experience.

A good Devonshire Tea is one of life's simple pleasures. If your scones are fresh there's no need to reheat, or at least ask if they want them reheated, and please use real jam preferably strawberry and proper whipped cream. Raspberry jam has a ton of seeds which can be a nightmare for a denture wearer.

On the upside the cafe itself was beautifully presented. There was a good selection of homemade cakes and slices and a great display local preserves, honey and olives available for purchase. The scones were also beautifully presented on a wooden serving board, and the service was warm and friendly, the coffee was good and served in big mugs.

Lovely people, nice space. Food and coffee disappointing. Ordered smashed avocado on sourdough and received bread that was not real sourdough, and the avocado was pureed, flat mush that tasted sour and smeared on the half toasted bread. No seasoning used either. Milk overcooked in coffee.
