Amazing Stay Despite the Wind!

We recently stayed at this campground, and despite the pre-cyclone winds, we had an incredible experience. The staff were fantastic—so accommodating and understanding! They let us change our campsite at no extra cost, ensuring we had a more comfortable stay.

The facilities were spotless the entire time, and the on-site restaurant was a highlight—the food was absolutely delicious. We were a big group, and everyone had a fantastic time. It was the perfect balance of outdoor adventure and a touch of luxury.

Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a great camping experience with top-notch service! We'll definitely be back.

Wonderful place to visit. Free roaming kangaroos and iguanas…. And ducks!
The state of approach road was bad.. needs work.
Shower, toilet and cooking facilities were great.
Chance to see the kangaroos bouncing across the water at sunrise, and even if you miss that, the sunrise over the water is beautiful.

This is a great camp ground.
We stayed for 10 nights.
Our camp site did get a little flooded with the rains but nothing to serious.
Kids had a blast in the lake which doesn't get any deeper then waist height. On site micro brewery and Cafe had great beer and delicious food. A little bit pricey but still ok.
I would like to see a kids playground area but still loved thus place. Will definitely be back.

Cool lakeside camping spot about 30 mins from Noosa. Good facilities and loads of kangaroos everywhere! There is a bar and restaurant on site (food is okay) and they brew their own beer (delicious). Campground offers watercraft rentals. Check weather before going as it was fairly breezy the entire 5 days we stayed and lakeside pitches are not too sheltered

Downsides - quite busy and noisy on the weekend, someone was in our pitch when we arrived despite prebooking - perhaps need slightly better management of this

We enjoyed our stay at Noosa Habitat, although it was not what we expected. It is an average camp ground/caravan park in a nice location. Not more, not less. There are some nicer sites than others, and when we come back, we know which ones to pick. The boat trip to the Everglades was not as spectacular as we were made to believe, and although it’s the “only other Everglades in the World”, it really is just a boat ride/canoe/kayak up a river white various wider and narrower passages and where vegetation is dense so you can’t really stop/anchor/leave your watercraft to go exploring or stop for a picnic except where there are designated areas. I am sure other national parks in Australia are exactly the same, they just don’t market it as well. The campground has all the facilities, but clearly has not enough toilets since in the mornings even the men’s toilets had a long queue during high season in the mornings and you walk a far way to the only toilet block on the whole camp ground. The showers on top of it are even located only at the main building, although numerous there and very clean. The bar with its own brewery did not disappoint, even making drinks not on the menu, and the food was decent too, but being remote as it is, obviously not cheap. There is no shop but a small selections of essentials is on sale in a vending machine and at the bar. The beach with the tea-tree coloured water (aka brown) is ideal for kids as it does not get deep at all. In fact not more than 50cm as far as you can walk into the lake, so very safe. The glamping tents looked great, but again if you stay there, you pay a big premium. Overall, what’s marketed as premium eco tourism, is a bit far fetched, as in the end, it’s just a camp ground in a nice location. Well managed and friendly, but not without any outstanding extras to write home about. There wasn’t even a playground for the kids, which would seem an easy addition to accomodate families even bettere.

Great location on the lake, spacious sites for camping. Only downside would be that the toilet/shower facilities are a bit of a walk from the lakeside spots and weren't well cleaned/maintained. On site bistro/bar was fantastic, closes at 8.30pm

As my first time camping solo this place was a great choice, felt safe at all times, but having had a waterfront tent site I didn't feel like I was crammed into a 'holiday park' so to speak, I felt like I was Bush camping still to an extent. Friendly staff, however the only downside having a waterfront camp site was waking up to a group of people literally right in front of my tent at 4.30am watching the sunrise. This was something that regularly occurred throughout the day and evening as well due to people wanting to access the water which was fine for the most part while I was awake but that early with no regard to other campers was annoying and uncomfortable as they were very close to where I was sleeping by myself and my belongings, despite other open areas nearby that was directly in front of someone sleeping. |Obviously no fault of the business, but just be wary if booking a waterfront site. Maybe some designated paths for other campers to use to get to the water that isn't encroaching on the personal spaces of other campers as clearly some people have no awareness of other campers

Had a nice relaxing stay at the Habitat. Would say this park compared to others I have been to is quite average. Some sites were bigger than others, with the powered site we were on consisting of just dirt. Appears maintenance may not be a priority with one of the electrical points not working on our site and the water tap dripping constantly. Facilities are clean for a short time after the cleaners have been through. After that the toilets are disgusting with toilets being clogged, and paper towels running out. There also does not appear to be enough facilities of toilets and showers for the amount of people camping, with big line ups occurring. Ventilation is also another problem during these busy periods. The main reception block is near and cleans and the two toilets there were always clean when we used them. The lake is a big draw card and is just beautiful in the early mornings when all other campers were sleeping. After that expect to hear loud music and as the day progresses people becoming louder as the alcohol kicks in more.
