My wife and I kiwi's 68 and 70years stayed here for five days it is a guesthouse and has permanent and casual residents We found the permanent residents to be easy going and had many discussions and laughs with them. We were on the first floor. The room was clean and comfortable. There was a choice of three spacious bathrooms that were kept clean. Breakfast was cereals, canned peaches, fruitloaf, white and wheatmeal breads to toast. Addition of hot bacon or sausages in the weekend. We ate dinner out mostly but the supplied dinner included in the price was basic and one choice each night but filling. The location is great only five minutes walk from Cronulla town centre and beach. It is only advertised as two star but we both agree we would quite happily stay here again.

Absolutely amazing. Ronny and his wife are amazing. Place is old... but always spotless. Fresh pancakes for breakfast. And the price.. like wow for a work stop over so close to everything. 10/10 would recommend.

Would not recommend. Once stayed during winter and there is no heating at all and they don't provide enough blankets for the lack of heating, so I ended up unable to sleep all night. Thought I'd give them the benefit of the doubt and booked again during spring.
Wish I hadn't booked again because they increased the price for even lower quality. The toilets have an awful smell, the sensor light in the shower turns off every couple of minutes, the pillows are flimsy and so flat that it offers no support and hurts your neck, and there was this noise all night which sounded like a washing machine or something being run literally all night and it's loud enough that you can't sleep, the room was also dusty which triggered my allergies and make me sneeze all night. Definitely won't be staying again.

I am quiet tall and the beds were not which did make sleeping a little hard. Was also stated that parking is available but it is just find nearby street parking. Bathrooms were clean and it was relatively quiet.

Stayed here a couple of times now and it is a clean convenient and affordable place to stay. Nice rooms and good breakfast and dinner options provided free of charge. Some of the other reviewers are simply expecting high hotel standards at what is clearly a guesthouse. Do not be put off.

On a main road which is really noisy. Full of creepy old men who made my stay as a woman travelling alone very uncomfortable. Was given a room right at the top of the stairs and everytime I came out of it there was a man there just staring over the top of the stairs. Bed was squeaky and uncomfortable and the free breakfast has been sitting on a bench with no food warmer for a while.

I stayed in Guesthouse 83 for a month and found it clean and welcoming. The bathrooms are modern and regularly cleaned. The staff are dedicated, accommodating and cheerful, the food good and the location close to all that I needed as a holiday maker. The smell of cigarettes floated into the passages through the open doors from the smoking area outside, but the passages and communal areas were well ventilated through open doors and windows. I can recommend this Guesthouse for any visitors passing through Cronulla.

Loved my short stay at Guesthouse. There's free street parking in the nearby HowieAve. There's shared bathrooms but they're always clean and private. Walking distance to shops and Cronulla beach. Wifi is amazing signal. The walls are thin but it's an old building. I'm vegetarian and Ronny was super lovely to help me and organised a veggie dinner every night I was there. The cook is also a lovely lady! 🙂 Would stay again.
