Just finished a gig and was looking for some lunch at a local place that was dog friendly. Ground came up and boy am I glad it did. Our coffees came out quickly and were really good. Next came lunch - a Japanese Tofu bowl with sides of avocado and sautéed mushrooms, avocado on toast and some sweet potato chips. What I especially liked was that the kitchen let the food flavours shine. Not too fussy and everything was delicious.
Very patient and friendly staff too.
Love it when I find somewhere new that really works. Will happily return.

Omg ? we had the most delicious breakfast here today. Big brekkie, eggs benny and I added the potato rosti, very good decision….both meals were to die for with lovely sourdough toast that wasn’t difficult to cut or eat. We also ordered coffees, a cappuccino and almond coffee with caramel and two Amazon smoothies… everything was top notch, can’t believe we live here and had never visited this place! It is soooo good, thanks team ?

Loved this cafe! Lots of seating, staff were friendly and bubbly and we were served our food quick. The smoothies were so good! All the meals were outstanding too. We ate breakfast. The lunch menu looks very good too so I am keen to eat lunch here soon.

We have breakfast here every Friday! We have eaten in many different cafes in Coolangatta over the years but this one is superb! Both the food and service is excellent! Being a chef I enjoy good food but I struggle to find unique dishes as most cafes just do the same old things. I tried their new breakfast dish called Brisket Benedict and it was great! The meat was absolutely delicious! The Melbourne breakfast is also very good. I highly recommend!

What’s not to like! Visited on a Sunday and still had some seating for lunch. It filled up pretty quickly but staff was on top of it. Comfy seating and clean surroundings. Food was absolutely stunning. Tasty, filling, fresh and the drinks weren’t bad either. So glad we picked ‘Ground’ to go to. Have been locals forever and never visited here…. So glad we did as we definitely will be back. Well done

Great coffee, quick service.
Also been for lunch - karage chicken bowl with rice was a massive feed. Tasty and filling after a morning on the beach (which is just over the road)

Ground Cooloongatta is located on Marine Parade in Cooloongatta, which means it is in a prime spot close to the beach. This could be a big plus if you're looking for somewhere scenic for for breakfast or lunch.

We checked out this place on our early morning walk. Eggs "Benny," smashed AVO and 2 x flat white coffees were ordered.
The food was served by very friendly wait staff, and the coffees perfect. Top food, excellent coffee and spot on service and the views aren't to bad either.
Highly recommended.
