Worst accommodation in Cairns! The manager became extremely aggressive and verbally abusive when I told him I was not happy that after the first nights stay we were being moved to another room with no balcony and on the top floor, as I had a small child and had booked a ground floor unit with balcony. He screamed at us to get out if we didn’t like it, said only 1 night would be charged, then charged around the counter at me and my 3 year old. Needless to say we left, within half an hour of leaving he charged the rest of our stay to my credit card. When I called to ask him why he had done that he started to abuse me again and said he could do what he liked. The man is not stable, do not stay here.

We had a wonderful long stay here at the Grosvenor for about 6 weeks! The staff were very helpful and great, the manager Ben and the cleaners were fantastic especially Donna! We loved the relaxing pool area, the location was super close to lots of yummy food and the rooms had everything we needed for our extended stay. We got fresh towels everyday and the rooms were nice and clean. The other people staying at the hotel were all very friendly and helpful. Look forward to coming again, thank you Ben and staff!

I stayed at the apartment which was basic but clean|The accomodation was not the problem|However, there was a bookings onsite manager which was unhelpful uninterested. I also witnessed him talking to me other people in a aggressive way|Place is ok just the staff not great if you have kids

There's no dead lock or a security latch on the entry door. To lock the door all there is to push in the button on door knob. One night around 10pm, a drunk woman came to our door and kept knocking for about 30 minutes, obviously she got a wrong room, gave up and left at the end. As we didn't want open the door to some weirdos when the door doesn't have a security latch. We didn't feel secure staying there at all. |We stayed in a hotel room however it seems all rooms in building 1 are adjoining rooms. So there is a interconnecting door from our room to the room next door. Obviously it was locked away but the door was very thin and we could hear everything. |Bathroom - shower head was very old and water was going to every direction. Not to mention there was not hot water for entire time we were there for 5 nights and had to have cold showers. No compensation provided.|2 dining chairs were wobbly and we didn't use them at all as we didn't feel comfortable. People will get hurt soon or later if they are not fixed or replaced.|

If I could choose 0 stars, I would!
Rooms were not cleaned for all 6 nights we stayed.
"Cleaner" only picked up rubbish from rubbish bins.
Towels were changed only after I spoke to cleaner and ask her "to be kind and change our towels".
Tiny swimming pool.
I was lucky to meet a receptionist on duty, who mentioned to me : " Oh, you have to wait for at least 2 hours before going into the water because pool guy just thrown chemicals into water!!! it was ! pm. hot day!! There was not any sign of warning about it!!!
I can't imagine if some guests will go for a swim
Actually i was reading near the pool and 2 lasdies came for a swim... I warned them about chemicals- they look clearly terrified.

Please, do yourself a favour - do not stay in those apartments

First and last visit to this hotel. In town for work and stayed here for the week. Location wasn’t far out of the CBD which was fine but the traffic noise was constant.||The room was spacious but was run down. The knobs for the speed control of the ceiling fans had been removed. Shower was frustratingly small and dirty, with mould on the ceiling and cracked tiles. |A small amount of tea and coffee was provided but all the coffee sachets were out of date by a year! Minor thing, but makes a statement.||The last night of the stay I had a group sitting on the footpath metres from my room. Didn’t have an issue with this but I did with the constant yelling, swearing and wolf whistling which went long into the early hours and woke me at 2:30am! I ended up with about 3 hrs sleep so have marked this place as a no go for future visits to Cairns.||For the price I was charged, this place is just not worth it.

I just wonder how come on earth this kind of damp, unhygienic accomodation still exist in city like Cairns!!! There were tiny bugs all over the one bedroom suit that we booked, on couch, on bed and kitchen. We have got bitten constaintly. So paintful and unhappy to stay there.
Unfortunately I didn't check the reviews before booking

First and definitely last time staying in this hotel. The first red flag was the foul smell when I first opened the door it was almost a damp and mouldy smell. We were resting in our apartment and the vent fell on my friends arm. The bathroom was dirty and had mould on the roof. The shower was small and the tiles were dirty and cracked. Would definitely not recommend this hotel.
