I love supporting local businesses, but this is one i will not be supporting, the service was so low and terrible cashier gave me serious attitude for no reason then i had to wait 30 minutes for my food, and by the time i had gotten it, it was cold I genuinely wanted to give this business a chance but it seems to be a reoccurring thing, the stone cold burger was honestly not the 30 minute wait. Workers seem to be more engaged in conversation than actual work, not a place i will be eating again and i hope the owner is aware of the poor quality. Response: I think you have yourself mistaken my review is genuine and your response says it all, you cant take a genuine bad review without feeling offended instead of reporting my review maybe take it on board and improve your business.

Looking for something good to eat in Lismore on a Sunday afternoon is not an easy thing. There seemed to be only three places accessible when out traveling with a pet. We decided to eat here. I asked another customer who was waiting if he'd eaten here before and he praised the food and said that it's the only place open. (It wasn't but we didn't want the other food.)
He was correct in his praise. We ordered a chicken burger, a cattleman burger and small chips. And a single meat pattie for the furbaby. We then took the food down the road to a park where we wandered around looking for the right place to eat.
When we finally started our meal it was Delicious! It was also suitably hot enough.
My family have owned very successful takeaway and restaurant businesses and this is a business should thrive even of they only serve these burgers and chips!
The staff were absolutely fine and polite and the food took ten minutes. I timed it as we took the dog for a walk. I also timed it because freshly cooked burgers take time. The chips were excellent and crispy if you like crispy.
I'm happy to recommend the Grill Shack.

The food is fine, but their service is really terrible.

Waited 28 minutes for my 2 burgers and chips yesterday.

I ended up having to walk up and ask if my order was ready, even though it was never called.

This prompted 3 others to do the same, and it turned out all their food was ready too.

The people working are too pre-occupied with chatting to each other than doing their job. It would be nice if they regularly asked for peoples orders/names or checked with people, especially when you see them there waiting for more than 20 minutes.

Really terrible service.

Seasoned burgers, made fresh. What more do you need? Well ok probably fries, which were also delicious but a small was nearly twice the size of my burger so think before you get the large. Lots of variety and really great tasting burgers. I seriously can't get over the fact that they actually seasoned the burger.

Update: Thank you Jason for the prompt response. I'm glad to know I was mistaken it has made me feel better. unaware of an email address where I could have spoken about my review. Unfortunately from the outside looking in it's hard to know. Appreciate the clarity. However still disappointed in the meal and not just attacking a small business I always support local. Disappointed with meal and customer service. Food I ordered was cold and chips were unsalted.

I had the kickin chicken burger and it was great. Had a real kick to it, as stated, not for the faint hearted. If I was to be picky, I'd say it was a bit dry and could do with a saucier sauce but I would be back again if I'm down this way. Good service, friendly staff and some good tunes in the background.

Really good. I had the Ku Ku burger and small chips, which was a good size. The burger was tasty but would have liked just a little bit more of the mayo and marinade because it was so good. Small chips is a perfect size for one, thick cut and perfectly cooked. When I finished it I was very close to coming back for the peri peri burger, not because I was hungry, but because there were some really nice sounding things on the menu. If I'm in Lismore again I'll be coming back for more.

Chips were OK, but quite oversalted. And the vegan burger was really mediocre. It had raw grated carrot and fat slice of raw cucumber, they just don't go well in burger. The patty was ok, but nothing memorable and sauce was lacking.
I don't think I would go back.
