Generally all goods, considering the price, a relatively cheap option, it can be a good choice for one or two night stay. The reception staff is friendly, and it close to train station. But it’s so cold in room and don’t offer slippers.

Comfortable, compact room which was perfectly adequate. It is an older building but has been refurbished & was spotlessly clean. The very reasonable tariff included a help yourself continental breakfast. It isn’t the Grand Hyatt but neither is the price. If you have appointments at the RNSH it is great but you wouldn’t stay here for a holiday. I recommend it for shorter stays.

Checked in and had to just drop my bags and go to the hospital for specialist and test. On arriving back at around 8pm i opened one draw it had empty cigarette packets in it the, bedside draw had rubbish from previous guest in it also. There was mould in the the shower and on the walls, no glob in bedside lamp. The room looked like the beds had been made but nothing else had been cleaned. I couldn't address the problem as reception was closed and leaving 7am in the morning to travel home it was still closed.
I emailed and sent pictures and got an email back with a rate my stay form to fill in , but it wouldn't post it kept bouncing back.
I would of thought someone would have contacted me. They were quick to take my money though. Unhappy guest

If you need to stay close to hospital this place is brilliant not even a 10 min walk from main hospital building. Very basic but very clean rooms. Breakfast cereal or toast and fresh fruit. Tea and coffee. Definitely would stay again for the price I paid $131 a night

Booked here as usual place we stay when needing to go to Royal North Shore Hospital was fully booked.

Upon arrival, checked in with lovely lady at reception. Unfortunately, we couldn't park in the one spot in carpark, as there was no room whatsoever to manoeuvre into space. The spaces were quite small and there were several large utes in other spots. Lady advised we could park in the 5min check in bay.

Walking up to our room (above carpark) we noticed the reality dirty stairs and marked walls. Upon entering room, we immediately noticed a damp, stuffy smell. Turned air-conditioning on and obvious mould was evident on front of unit, see pics. Bathroom smelt of mould and damp also. As husband has asthma we couldn't stay in room.

Side cupboards next to bed had water damage. Light fitting broken. Very poor standard of accommodation.

Spoke to lady at reception who offered another room to inspect, which we did. This room was in main building and bathroom also had mould and dirty.

We were offered a refund which was greatly appreciated. We located another property in Chatswood for a $30 extra, but vastly different and fully renovated.

Would not recommend this property to anyone. Only given 1 star as ZERO not an option.

■ top floor. No view
■ loudest fridge hard to sleep

PARKING
■ this has to be the worst parking area in Sydney, so tight and only holds about 9 cars with 35 rooms it's not enough and when one guest doesn't park perfectly it ruins it for the rest

I'll start with the good, comfortable bed, cold air conditioning, however... Lots of stairs, tiny rooms, hair and bugs in the bedside tables and bathroom. Faulty bedside lamp. Broken mismatched shower taps so water in shower run constantly. Bathroom only big enough to do a 360 on the spot.
