Ordered there big breakfast, it's the smallest big breakfast I've ever seen. I small cold piece of toast that was hard as a rock, had to burst my poached eggs and let the yoke soak into the toast so I could cut it. Coffee was the highlight of my breakfast. Can see why they have good reviews on there coffee as I personally thought it was above average. Staff a polite but still not very welcoming.

We have been coming here for a very long time but we’re done. Paying $72.36 for two coffees and two eggs Benedict. Never been charged before for asking for gluten free $2.00 each, $6.00 each for bacon with a Sunday surcharge of $7.20. WOW !!!!!!

Not advised of the Sunday surcharge!!

Too late to have my coffees cancelled, but they came out cold and too milky.

We had breakfast here only a couple of weeks ago and paid $101 to feed four of us.

We’re locals and you won’t be seeing us again, and will be warning others not to attend there and get robbed. Very disappointing

Dissapointingly overpriced and unfriendly. I was charged $3 for tomato and bbq sauce and $2 for a bread roll for a kids bacon and egg roll. This worked out to be more than a normal one. Pricing of extras is not made clear, and there was no apologising for this. Our drinks were forgotten as well.

We ordered the salmon bagel and pulled beef burger and they were both very good, fresh & delicious. Coffee were excellent too, one of the best around Ballina.

We had delicious breakfast here. Our toasted sourdough with smashed avocado, caramelised chutney and dukkah was superb! Great coffee and fresh juice made our brekkie prefect! Also, the service was lovely and friendly.

ANZAC DAY. The management here are rude and disgusting. Placed our order, paid and proceeded to wait at our table which was filthy. Expected that the staff would clean it down. Nope, did that myself. All good. Whilst waiting, 3 very elderly diggers asked to sit at our table. With not enough room for 5, I gladly gave them our table and tried to approach staff to advise we had moved tables. First staff member snapped at me saying, “this is a clean table, we are closed” turned on her heels and kept walking. I go up to the counter and again before even getting a word out, was rudely told “We are closed”. I politely explained what I needed to tell then. I got a disbelieving attitude questioning me on what I ordered. Once it was confirmed by other staff, i was told it had to be takeaway (so i wouldnt mess up their just cleaned tables I assume).
I get they have a cut off order time so that they can close on time but this was horrendous. I had ordered. No doubt the manager(s) would prefer i spoke to them directly HOWEVER given i was not given the opportunity to speak not once but twice, you get the same.
Some hot tips- 1. Chefs are gold, treat them very well. 2. Customers are your bread and butter, treat them well. 3. Front of house Staff are good people trying to earn a bob with great attitudes ruined by bad management.

Disgusting. Nothing nice to say about this place. Don't waste your money. They charged me 22% for a public holiday. I am a chef and this is robbery!!!! Was told at 12pm that they were closing for the day so it was takeaway only... the food... one of the worst meals I've ever had! The "gourmet sausage roll" I got for my kids was so bad I had to throw it away. I brought 2 cold drinks 2 sandwiches and a sausage roll and cost over $50! If I had been able to dine in I would have asked for a refund because the food was so bad
They need a better manager at this place. What cafe closes at 12pm when they close at 2pm.
Also staff vaping outside the kitchen door out the side is disgraceful. If this place continues to operate like this they will not be around for much longer.
