Upon a visit to Newcastle, popped in here for a quick meal… expecting the usual pub affair I was pleasantly surprised with everything this pub is!
But the food is the best part! Well done guys! The Nepalese dumplings are a standout and the snittys are the bomb! Great service to boot! 👏 3 day visit to Newy and I visited twice! Just had to return.

I'm here at 3:30 on a Thursday afternoon.
It's quiet but that's understandable.
Device was immediate and polite.
The position is outstanding near buses and trams. The river and the ocean are both in walking distance. It's a Grand old hotel that still survives, thank goodness.

Ordered take away, staff were warm and welcoming when I walked in. My partner has an allergy, asked about sauces with the allergen, explained the situation, we're used to being restricted, it's in everything. Accepted the fate, ordered 2 steaks, without sauce, got home to find the staff had crafted a sauce to accommodate the allergy, it's honestly the first time anywhere has done that, that customer focus and level of service is absolutely incredible! The sauce was great too, my partner was so excited about it, absolutely loved it! Great job all. Steaks were nice and thick, juicy, unlike some places that go for a large thin steak, and end up over cooked by the time it arrives. Price is competitive, quality is strong, atmosphere is nice and relaxed, good all rounder.

Tried their sunday roast. Meat and gravy were good though they only gave 1 small piece of yorkshire pudding. There was a MMA playing on the screen and it was so loud.

It was my first time in Newcastle, a peaceful city. I walked into this Bar, met a lovely staff, very good service, and he even gave me free fries. That’s so lovely

No words can describe how good the food is here!! Highly recommend. The staff are super accommodating. We had a problem with our order which made us wait about an hour and half for food. However, the staff were hands down so respectful, and were quick to solve the problem for us. You can't fault quality service, and quality food. We'll be coming back on our next Newcastle trip!

Friday afternoon late lunch - great menu, $15 specials too & serve lunch till 2:30pm which is a very pleasant surprise! Had the fish tacos - very nice with a little spicy kick. Staff were great. Pub immaculately clean and just beautiful to be in.

Nice atmosphere but poor food. Steak was chewy gristle and buddah bowl was a few elements thrown together with no thought of flavour. Fish and chips meal very nice. Staff did not offer to compensate for the two poor meals. Will return but will be more selective about food next time.
