Never ever had this kind of bad experience in any pub in Sydney. Staff were super rude including manager. Unacceptable behaviour did not expect this bad customer service. When tried to explain it to the staff didn’t want to listen to what customer was saying. Manager, told us to leave and enjoy other pubs, very rude and racist. Ruined my Friday night. Never going to visit this place again, this would be my first and last visit.

Check in was nice and easy! The person who checked us in was super polite and professional! Super convenient next to the train station as well!. The room was clean and tidy, so grateful to see a kettle with some tea and coffee. Air conditioning was excellent!

The only set backs for this place is, I wish there were more women’s bathrooms closer to the outside rooms. I wish they served breakfast since they open at 6am and offered food for room service rather than just drinks. the walls in my room were full of rising damp which I’m sure they’ve had assessed but it’s still dangerous.

Exactly what you would expect from a Pub stay, rooms where clean and AC, with the communal bathrooms being nice and clean. Seperate entrance was nice but if you want to sleep past 6am music starts playing and is pretty loud, well it was in room 9. Would stay and would recommend for overall cost and function.

I have not stayed at the Granville motel, but have dined there. The meals are delicious, the salads are fresh top quality produce, mouthwatering steaks. I held a family get together and everyone present was delighted with their meals, quick service, friendly manner and from me presentation. I would highly recommend the meals at the Granville Hotel.

This place is acceptable for a one-night stay. My room was dull and had spider webs on the window. Additionally, loud music was coming from downstairs. Drinking water was not available inside the rooms or on the floor. You need to request drinking water from the reception lady, who then provides the water bottles. The positive points about this place are, walkable distance from the Granville railway station and many good restaurants next to this hotel which remain open till midnight.

The morning barman Steve great entertainer and is very professional.Top barman he also has some top tunes.
Best Barman this side of the harbour, well done Granville hotel.

The pub area is quaint but sufficient. Likewise the rooms upstairs were sufficient however the cleanliness could be improved. The room I occupied for the night was tidy but it smelt like a smoker had literally vacated it that morning. The smell could be detected in all the fabric finishes in the room. I mistakenly thought that the smell was superficial until I laid on the bed and the intensity of the cigarette smoke odour in the bedding, pillows, etc. Was not pleasant at all.

Another point to make is the sound system which seemed to echo throughout certain sections upstairs but it was particularly noticeable in Room 9. I asked the night shift manager to turn it down and then to turn it off as reducing the volume had no effect on the sound permeating through to the room.

Overall, not the best hotel experience I've had and I would be reluctant to recommend this place (accommodation wise) to anyone. It saving grace are the friendly and polite staff members, the price point and its location to amenities. I guess I got what you pay for in this instance.
