We are so happy we booked Grand Vue for our honeymoon in Hobart. The service was perfect and Ash was so welcoming and gave us helpful tips on places to go. The room was beautiful with everything we needed and stunning views. We loved the complimentary breakfast and Ash was so friendly to chat with and helped make a delicious coffee for us! Battery Point was also a lovely, quaint and peaceful suburb to stay. Lovely local shops and cafes and a very easy walk into town. Highly recommend!

Absolutely fabulous place to stay. Loved our five days there. Would go back in a heartbeat. The room was top class. The communal kitchen was so well equipped. Large range of tasty choices for breakfast. Fresh homemade cakes baked daily, Just help yourself. Delicious coffee. Ash could not have been a better host. He is so lovely.

Thanks to Ash and team at Grande Vue hotel. Our stay was so relaxing and so beautiful. The location in Battery point was perfect. The neighbours were so nice and the area friendly. The views from the Kelly room were delightful and amazing to watch the sunrise. Would recommend to anyone wanting calm but also close proximity to all Hobart has to offer. Spoilt with a complementary afternoon tea, beautiful and delicious!

Our first stay at Grande Vue was a very special experience. A beautifully restored Queen Anne residence in Battery Point. Perfect location, walking distance to Salamanca and Hobart dock area. Such a magestic building in amazing manicured gardens. The period furniture and decor was incredible. The Kitchen a delight and of course the staff, Ricardo and Fiona, friendly and hospitable. The afternoon tea treats were delicious as was the breakfast. We will definitely be back. Thank you Grand Vue for the experience ||

We had an amazing stay at The Grande Vue! Loved the old school touches and beautiful building and location. The cakes and quiches baked fresh each day for the guests is a great touch. It has such a homely feel to it and stunning views of the water! Ash and Brock were so warm and welcoming we would definitely come back again!

This place is a paradise. Once we opened the door and till the moment we closed it behind us. Light touch of jazz in the air, amazing views in every window, coziness and cleanliness. ||We spent all our time exploring the island and came back to our hotel to spend time in the room, in the lobby, in the hall, on the lawn behind the hotel. Every place was just magical.||Fully equipped kitchen, tasty continental breakfast and exquisite cake everyday during the day.||Quick stable internet and any place in the hotel.||

Do not book too long ahead of your stay! Just make sure you do Not have a health issue within the 14 days of your arrival as there will be no refund!
Not even for one night out of five booked, and not even if you are a faithful multi-returning customer!
I have been to the hotel every year since it was purchased by the current owners (Ash Fleming and Brock Gardner) about four years ago.
I did go to the hotel when under another management from mid-2018.
I also went to the hotel when under the original management (Annette & John) eight times, some years twice in the year.
Annette & John are to be fully recognised for the amazingly magnificent and comprehensive building works, architecture, and classy choice of design that turned an almost a derelict building to the truly unique gem that the hotel is now. I will always remember the 6pm daily room delivery of a home made sweet made by Annette and delivered to my room by John leaving a lovely homely smell in the hallway. Such a personalised lovely gestures leave indelible memories and create a bond between people. As consumed professionals they were always discreet too. Prior to this hotel, Annette & John managed a bed & breakfast for 15 years and they knew the hotel business inside out, but, this was a Lot More than a Business for them. They actually lived in the hotel.
Despite I immediately communicated with hotel about my health (taken to emergencies) and despite it was the First Time Ever, that I had to change my arrival date in the hotel, I was naturally expecting that given the number of times I had been there under this management, i will get a refund for the Thursday night.
Well, i was dead wrong! Whether you are a faithful multi-returning customer or not, whether you have an unexpected health reason or not, whether you comply with their request to remove your review They have a business to run, don’t they?
I was told:” i do not do refunds, maybe, we’ll see what we can do on your next stay.”
I was shocked by the tone of voice used to say:”I Don’t do refunds!”

Fantastic property and very attentive hosts. We really enjoyed our stay and would book again. Property is in a convenient location and the property well appointed with elegant style.
