Currently closed awaiting renovations! Maybe the Toondah harbour development being canned has slowed up progress? My last experience there for lunch was dump birds that attack you while you're eating. Let's hope that with the current renovations the entire outside dining area is totally enclosed.

Don’t be saddened at all that this “Majestic old Dame” is being restored & renovated - I’m ELATED it’s actually happening & will continue to be here. I went to Cleveland Primary & High from 1979 onwards, yet never got to come here until recent years (have been a Sydneysider 3 decades). Did 4 fabulous visits since. Loved each 1. Enormous outdoor eating spaces (including divine open pavilion available to all) enable bay breezes beautifully wafting through as you eat. A wander around the gardens provides stunning views (including over parkland looking SE). Food was delicious & excellent choices. I was allowed to walk upstairs & see the function room booking choices (magnificent high ceilings) even though I was only here with a downstairs table for 4! I’m soooo pleased this “historic chalmer” is being retained & improved. Take it from a 51 year old gay boy who “loved Cleveland childhood & loathed the family move to Alex Hills for adolescence” - this venue is superb & eating at & experiencing this WONDER is a MANDATORY part of having a proper experience of The Redlands. I wish them all the VERY best for the re-opening & am VERY pleased they’re returning 😘😘😘👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🎉🎉🎉🌈🌈🌈🥂🥂🥂🍷🍷🍷🍾🍾🍾🤩 xxx

We loved it! We arrived with an unexpectedly larger group than we had booked for, but that was no problem for the excellent staff, they moved some tables for us in no time and were so understanding. The rustic feel and history of the beautiful hotel was just lovely. It was very breezy out overlooking the water which was such a relief from the humid weather. The kids loved the playground, and being able to explore the gardens. The food, while a bit pricey, was very good too. What a lovely treat! We'll definitely be back.

We had an awesome lunch, the food was generous and delicious, they made sure we had everything we needed (I forgot cake candles for a birthday and they sorted us out!), nothing was a problem, a lovely team of friendly happy and helpful staff and great live music too! We had a fabulous time. Can't wait to see the reno's when they are done.

Live music in the background was perfect so as not to drown out the conversations. Chefs special roast of the day was just like mum used to make. Friendly helpful staff, realistically priced. Pokies if you so desire. Lovely views of the gardens and the bay. Will be back.

Fantastic old-school pub in an awesome location - we loved the great selection of beers on tap, and the $14 pizzas (Thursday specials) that we ordered were delicious. All the employees were super helpful and friendly - my only complaint is that the queue for the bar was quite long whenever we tried to get drinks - an extra staff member would definitely help here. We'll be back!

Love it here at the Grandview! Menu always has great options, and service is friendly and fast, meal sizes are generous. Hubby loves this place for the Guinness on tap, I love my pink gins and alcoholic ginger beers. Outside area you can bring your pets, they provide a bowl of water. The place never disappoints.

Visited on a quiet weekday, and missed the kitchen times for lunch. Friendly & helpful staff let us know our options; pizza was awesome. Fantastic views over the bay towards Straddie and a very relaxed vibe. Worth a visit!
