Grafton Lodge Motel - South Grafton, New South Wales

We have stayed in this motel a few times before, first trip was great although the lady who was managing at the time was intoxicated while we were checking in and very rude at the time. The second time we have stayed there was a new manager and he was so lovely to deal with, gave great directions to where to eat, places to go and sites to see, also gave great directions on how to get places. We then stayed again this past September and the lady from the first trip was back. She was again intoxicated the entire time we were there. This has put us off when booking at the motel again unless the lovely man who was managing the second time is back. Have the upmost respect for Mark the new manager and the way he goes above and beyond for all his guest. Everything in the rooms have always been clean and tidy as well as all the surrounds and all the staff are beautiful. |Would Highly recommend when Mark is working,

I wasn't quite sure what to expect and I was pleasantly surprised. The room was large, separate bedroom and living area with couch, kitchen etc. Good size tv, bed was comfy. A little bit of road noise but it didn't disrupt my sleep. Would stay here again if I needed to stop in Grafton.

I was so looking forward to my little trip to Grafton as I wanted to see the amazing jacaranda trees!!|When I arrived, I was greeted by Mark I believe his name was. He just handed over the key to my queen villa. I just put my suitcase in & didn't really look at the apartment.|I asked if there was somewhere to eat, and he said a good 15 minutes walk.|I was shattered after a 10 +hrs train journey, so I popped to the garage for water, a pie & a magnum ice cream.|I returned with food, put the lights on & gulped with shock to how grubby & tiered everything looked.|I checked the bed to make sure it was clean, and it was ok, but the rest no!!!!|Sofa all grubby, greasy & stained & really well worn. Mat on floor was filthy, wardrobe smelt so wouldn't put clothes in there & only about 3 hangers. Where air conditioning unit was, it must have had a leak & just plastered but not painted.|Saving grace was the shower!! It was that bad. I was straight on my phone to try & find somewhere else & I couldn't find anywhere.|After a very unpleasant night, I checked for bites, luckily none.|I was booked for 3 nights I left Saturday afternoon & caught the night train back to Sydney back to my beautiful Airbnb. So upset & disappointed by the whole experience.|

Overall, for a Motel in country Australia. This place was amazing. Amazing rooms, staff were very friendly and helpful. The only downside for me was the size of the shower however is was hot, and I got clean. Would recommend and stay again.

We stayed in Room 16 on Wednesday, October 9th, 2024. We should have left but it was wet, we were tired and it was getting dark. We have stayed twice previously in other rooms and been satisfied. Room 16 needs a deep clean and deodorise, it was overall dirty, stained and smelly. I have recommended this motel to others but won't be giving it a good report in the future. Very disappointing.

Room was very clean and tidy and felt so comfortable! The staff are AMAZING! They go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. I've stayed at a few of the motels in grafton and this one is by far my favourite. Highly recommended!

Great place to stay for a night. Large room with seperate bedroom. Very clean and the manager Mark was great to deal with. I would definitely stay again

It was the worst hotel I stayed in.
I advise all people not to book here. The owner of the hotel, Mark, does not respect customers,
and the service is very bad. I was staying in Grafton for night work, as the company I worked for paid him for four days, and before I left, I asked the company to book. I have an extra day, but this day has not been paid. On the first day of his stay, he called me more than 20 times and threatened that if I did not pay, he would call the police, and I told him that I work at night. When I wake up, I will come to you and fix everything, knowing that it was the first night and he has four days. Paid days. If I do not pay, he can take me out on the last day, but he is a disrespectful person. If you do not heed the advice, you will see how bad this hotel is. In addition, dust fills the entire room, and it is not worth more than $40 per night. Also, I will spread everything to my friends at work and the whole company. Not to come to this motel
