Fun chair lift for first time visit and if you have kids. Pleasant ride across the gorge and you end at the location where all the peacocks are located and wallabies. Nice place to take the family. Is a bit expensive but not too much if you have kids. I think I am glad I did the ride but wouldn’t do it again

I completely fell in love with this place! It's beautifully maintained, with vibrant gardens and well-kept pathways that invite you to explore. There’s ample parking, making it convenient for families and groups. The area features natural bush walking trails that wind through lush greenery, perfect for a leisurely hike or an invigorating run.

For those looking to relax, there are several picnic spots equipped with BBQ facilities, ideal for a family gathering or a fun outing with friends. The highlight is the stunning cable car that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, making for an unforgettable experience.

There’s also a picturesque river flowing through the site, complete with a classic-style walking bridge that adds charm and beauty to your stroll. You can often see ducks swimming and families enjoying the scenery.

Don’t forget to stop by the quaint cafĆ©, which serves delicious coffee and snacks. The best part? There’s no admission fee! It’s a fantastic destination to bring your kids for a day of exploration, fun, and bonding. Whether you’re picnicking or simply enjoying the natural beauty, this place is a wonderful spot to create memorable moments together.

I was upset that we had a limition on our timing. This is the place where you should spend the whole day. Entry is free, but the chairlift needs to be paid. Restaurant, toilets, swiming area, amazing view....... list will go on.

The chairlift takes you to the top of the gorge. On the way up, you will get a good impression of the gorge below including the pool, picnic lawn and trails throughout. I would recommend purchasing a one way ticket, and walking back down to enjoy the parkland.

It is a beautiful location right in Launceston. There are hiking trails, a swimming pool and a chair lift. I wish we had allowed for more time to see everything m

We still couldn’t believe a Gorge is hidden inside the city. You could get a 2-way ticket or a 1-way ticket and trek back.

It wasn’t snowing but we were surprised to see part of it covered with snow.

What surprised us was when we got to the top, a group of wallabies munching away unaware of its surroundings. When we walked further in, the temperature dropped to sub zero and it was snow white all around.

Would definitely recommend this place if you’re stopping by Launceston.

Took the kids here during school holidays. There was a little wait to ride the chairlift. Was a nice trip to the top, then a walk around, and a nice trip back down.
