I needed peace and quiet in a very different place at the GlassHouse Mountains. I got it. This place is lovely - very pleasant welcome by host Gill, tea/coffee available 24/7, very roomy and comfortable room with ensuite. Quiet, very quiet. There are 2 rooms, I had a queen size bed as a single. Wonderful. Warm in winter plus also electric blanket and a real wool blanket. Dining, TV/DVD area and breakfast table is shared with the other guests. There is a pool and undercover parking.||Breakfast was to live for - several choices, abundance of food, beautifully presented.||Oh - and the view, 360 degrees is wonderful. There are horses, chooks and dogs, but everything was lovely, restful and highly recommended.

This eco-friendly lodge is situated in the heart of the Glasshouse Mountains National Park which is renowned for its craggy volcanic peaks. The 11 peaks are culturally significant to the traditional owners.The region offers walking tracks from the gentle to more challenging. It consists of an eclectic collection of old train carriages, a little wooden church and other accommodation and offers sleeping arrangements ranging from semi-dormitory to the more upmarket self-contained. A communal kitchen and bar b q also available. If you want to revive your soul far from the usual tourist nightlife and TV then this might be just the place for you. The loudest sound is that of the whip birds and the occasional kookaburra. It is within easy distance of Brisbane airport and other North Queensland tourist destinations. The owner and managers are friendly and helpful. Local shops make self-catering possible. Good restaurants within a 30 min driving radius. On a rainy Easter Saturday night the only sound was that of the frogs happily croaking. After a family long weekend (ages 2.5 to 66 years) I returned to the real world with my soul revived.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit diesem tollen B&B. Die Gastgeber sind sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Das ganze Haus hat einen sehr schönen Charme, liebevolle Einrichtung und ein toller Blick auf die Glasshouse Mountains.||Wir hatten ein schönes Doppelzimmer, welches sehr geräumig ist. Zimmer und Bad waren sehr sauber und schön eingerichtet. Vom Zimmer aus kann man den Garten mit Pool betreten. Angrenzend an den Garten ist eine Pferdekoppel und die Tiere sind sehr zahm. Vom Garten kann man in alle Himmelsrichtungen die verschiedenen Berge sehen, eine sehr hübsche Gegend. Es gibt ein Gemeinschaftszimmer wo man lesen und Brettspiele spielen kann TV schauen kann.||Gill war sehr zuvorkommend und hat sich um unser Wohl gekümmert.||Das zubereitete Frühstück war sehr sehr lecker, ein toller Start in den Tag.||Sehr gut geeignet für ruhige Nächte in toller Umgebung! Preis-Leistung geht total in Ordnung. Gute Ausgangslage für die angrenzenden Parks und Australia Zoo.
