One of my favourite cafes. Service has always been good from the staff. Food is always very good, with a good portion size.
Back again for a coffee and my favourite Eggs Benedict with Salmon. Greeted by smiling staff and an enjoyable meal.

We were in the area for a few days and decided to try the ginger root cafe for breakfast. We enjoyed it so much we ended up going back several times during our stay.

The breakfast and coffee were great. The coffee was strong and tasty and the food was fresh and good value. The service was friendly and quick. We definitely recommend Ginger Root Cafe.

Cafe Review:

I recently visited this cafe for breakfast, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. The first thing I noticed was the poor cleanliness of the tables. They clearly hadn't been properly wiped down in a long time, leading to a buildup of grime. I could literally scratch off the gunk with my fingernail, which was disgusting. When I brought this up, I was simply told that the tables were old, and my concerns were brushed off.

As for the food, it was mediocre at best. The bread was stale, and overall, the meal was nothing special. The only saving grace was the coffee, which was decent. However, the lack of cleanliness really overshadowed any positive aspects. The state of the cafe made the whole experience quite unappetizing, and I cannot recommend this place.

1st time here, drove from Tweed & so glad we did, as amazing quick service & the Brekkies were divine 10/10 ? Definitely recommend Poached eggs, bacon, Mushrooms & Turkish toast! Will be back.

I don't usually work in tweed heads but I do every so often and my favourite place to get breakfast is ginger root cafe I have even told people about this place on the gold coast .BUT unfortunately I don't know if they had a different cook this morning but my take away meal was terrible I got Avo on toast with poached eggs there was more spinch leaves in there then a salad half an avo for 2 pieces of toast and my eggs were hard boiled which made it really dry because of the spinach leaves . It's a shame I will defiantly go back as its a great place but today was disappointing ?
