I have stayed here numerous times when on my days off work. The rooms I have stayed in have always been clean, well maintained and in good order. The staff are professional and friendly. The on-site restaurant has delicious, fulfilling meals. Easy to find and get to, just off the main road / highway, although traffic noise wasn't an issue. Will definitely stay here again.

Nice and clean rooms, with comfortable beds. Restaurant was good, we had the chicken schnitzel and beef burger. Both were nice and the food came out quickly. The pool is nice for a dip.

Accommodation is good value for money, comfy beds, good AC and reasonably sized rooms. The downfall is the restaurant, half the menu was unavailable and the rissoles were dry and overcooked. I'd advise staying here but look elsewhere for food. UPDATE: stayed here once again and the rooms are great and staff are even better. I had the pork ribs this time and they nailed it. I'd honestly go 5 stars if it wasn't for the $13 great northern stubbies. That's actually insane. Other than that, I'd recommend staying here.

DO NOT recommend the Gidgee Inn after this experience unless you’re a pilot!
We called to see if we can check in early. But was advised by the worker that we would have to wait due to pilots being in town and they are a “priority”.. To be told we had to wait due to the pilots being a priority, we were quite insulted especially after we’ve stayed here multiple times over the last 10-20 years.
if your average folk like myself and my family then you’ll have to be careful with booking in here. From what we were advised it seemed as though they only have a sense of urgency for pilots, not others who also Paid with their OWN money, especially the ones who have given them business for years!

Hotel room was absolutely fantastic and good value for money, used laundry and was surprised when the washer and dryer was FREE to use.
Went to the restaurant it was nice and well set out, my server was very polite and helpful and we had a nice chat about Melbourne. the meal was terrible I ordered the bruschetta and got garlic bread with pizza sauce on it, and my steak was meant to be rare was blue I and the vegetables where not cooked properly, I saw the kitchen put vegetables on the plate from a container and straight in the microwave so they where warm ish but definitely not cooked just hot and dry.
Will definitely stay again just would eat somewhere else, It’s a beautiful restaurant and hotel shame about the chief or lack there of.

Great room, and great place however the restaurant shut down for Christmas/New Year's so we had to find an alternative for somewhere to eat which was not advertised on their webite

Staff were great and located opposite the caravan park made it a convenient choice for a meal.
Hubby ordered 2 entrees (to come out at the same time as my main) and I ordered pork spare ribs. Even though there were only 2 other tables occupied, apparently the pork was not available, so I went with the safe option of steak. Medium Rump with Diane sauce.
Hubby got his food quickly and tasted good.
My steak however was thin, well done and not sure what the sauce was , but is wasn’t Diane sauce! Very disappointed as I know how easy it is to cook a good steak!!!!

Huge room which included a work desk plus a small table for 2. Large bathroom with plenty of bench space - something sadly lacking in many top price motels/hotels. only complaint was that 1 bedside lamp was missing a bulb, and the bedside lamps are terrible for reading in bed (badly placed and too dim). Great a/c plus a fan.
