Stayed here for a few nights and overall was a good experience. Really liked the location and was close enough to walk to most places. There was plenty of parking available on-site and street parking so convenient if you have a vehicle as well. Loved the pool and was very clean. The kitchen was decent size so was good for cooking meals. The linen and towels were fresh andclean.

There are a few negatives that we found while staying. The utensils in the kitchen were quiet old and could be replaced. The side table lamps were quiet dusty. The rooms had carpet and there was a fair bit of mould on it and in the bathrooms aswell, which made it a bit unpleasant. If those are replaced and maintained would give more star ratings and would make the experience even better!

We had a second floor two bedroom apartment it had everything we needed to cook and relax

The apartment was spotless, smelt amazing when first walked in and was spacious, the pool and bbq area was a huge hit with our family. Very knowledgeable on local attractions. Very professional and friendly service.

If I could give zero I would. I have no words to describe the horrors I found in the room. We choose 2 rooms for 4 nights and the moment I walked in I spotted
Mold in the bathroom and kettle
Fungus
Dust everywhere
Old and broken electronics
Horrid smell
Terrible customer service no refund or other room.
The second room experience multiple power outages just in their room and the pool was overdosed with clorine causing two of us to suffer pain in the eyes and blurry vision. This is called swimmers eye caused by excessive chlorine.
We travelled 2000km from Logan and they ruined our Christmas and ontop of that the owner keeps denying the allegations well here is my response. There was no electrician sent no explanation for the power trip or how to fix it. just a employee to help open the broken sliding door. There was in fact black mould everywhere as seen in the photos. And if you look at other negative reviews the owner will lie and deny to keep his reputation. We didn't ask for a higher level room prior because we had no idea that these rooms are dirty and not cleaned at all. These photos were taken upon arrival and I will be adding more later

Updated again - just reseting the switchboard was not enough to fix it as the lights kept turning off every 2 minutes. The reason we didn't complain to you was because we asked you to show up so we could show you all the things wrong with the apartment but you refused to come so we knew it would be pointless to complain or request anything as you would keep getting away with it this is why others gave up complaining and just dealt with mouldy apartments. We researched everything. You were an affordable good looking hotel at least online. However in-person the apartment was falling apart the table legs randomly fell out. You complain that we are trying to make you look bad? That doesn't make sense. If you had cleaned and maintained the properties then there would be nothing to complain about. This is not harassment it is facts. Your hotels have been dressed up to look like others with photoshopped photos.

This place was an absolute nightmare
Me and my family travelled all the way from Brisbane on a 2 day road trip hoping to spend Christmas together. This place deserves 0 stars if possible there is mold fungus rust and chlorine everywhere from the carpets to the kettle. It is an massive scam please do not waste your hard earned money on this dump.

Horrible experience. This place has mould, rust in kettle , power was tripping, exhaust wasn't working in one of the bathrooms. Called Manager no help provided due to mould in carpet my son got watery and swollen eyes. Asked if they can change the apartment no response. The smell was really bad had to buy our own fragrance. The pool wasn't cleaned. Never ever go there they ruined our Christmas.

This place was absolutely terrible. FUNGUS RUST MOLD HORRID SMELL NO ELECTRICITY TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Our two families came here from 2000km away for Christmas and they ruined our holiday and our view on cairnes as a whole. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Getaway on Grafton is located approximately 15 min walk from the main CBD of Cairns. It is a quiet location, no traffic or pub noise, so one can get a good nights sleep!|We arrived after Reception had closed (Sunday) however, we were greeted by one the staff who gave us the keys and provided some information about what to do in Cairns and the location of convenience stores. We were given an apartment on the first level - there is no lift, and lucky a kind gentleman helped us with our luggage up the stairs.|The apartment was a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom with balcony views of Grafton. It was very clean and the kitchen is well stocked with crockery and cooking utensils. There is air conditioning in the lounge and also the bedrooms, as well as fans. Laundry facilities are also provided. Housekeeping is done after the 4th night stay - change of bed sheets and clean towels.|Overall the accommodation is great, and in a good quiet location.
