Highly recommend this bakery. I use to work at a German butchery in Stanley street Woolloongabba nearly 20yrs ago and we use to get in breadzels. The ones I had from this bakery took me way back….🤤🤤

Busy little German bakery offering classic Aussie treats, with some pretzels and strudels in the window. The standout was the spinach and feta roll. The eclair was like the classic Aussie eclair with whipped cream in choux pastry. The cinnamon pretzel was more like a cinnamon donut shaped into a pretzel. Both were nice.

Sadly I didn’t enjoy this “German” bakery. The pastry was dry on the items we purchased, and they were lacking the authentic German quality and taste you’d look for from a place claiming “German” in the name. We did not finish our coffee either.

Went here for lunch today. Service by young blonde girl was terrible. She questioned us on our order, slammed my ice coffee, down on the table. When I asked for the cream she snatched it and again slammed it down. Asked for a spoon and luckily older lady was happy to get it. She was complaining to other staff that she didn't want to work. We felt uncomfortable eating here. Although the food was nice we will not return.

I'm not one to go to the effort of leaving a bad review but after my experience on several occasions, I will not go back. The service from the lady with the reddesh auburn hair is simply down right rude. After my experience today, where another customer who witnessed her rude behaviour apologised to me on her behalf. Never again 3 strikes and I'm out.

Good coffee and a good range of food on offer. It’s great to find places like this in a small town. Seating is available so you can watch the world go by while having coffee. I’ve now been here a few times over the past couple of years and always liked the food on offer. Would recommend to a friend. 👌

Good selection of European pies and pastries. Good atmosphere seating out front. I can definitely recommend this Café and we will certainly come back again.
