Camp sites are large & the crate of firewood for $10 is great.

The amenities are old and basic, but are clean and insect free.

You can't help but get wet feet on the way to the amenities, though, as there's no gravel path so across the grass is the only way and it's almost always wet, particularly after sun falls.

The boat ramp needs some attention, which we were told, is planned to happen, just pending 3rd parties, who won't go out to scatter gravel until it dries out. Not sure when that will be because it's the top of the range and the entire property is covered in grass = moisture. In the meantime ... We got bogged trying to get a jet ski out. Everyone got involved and we got out in the end, just wearing a lil more mud than planned.

There's certainly no yabbies in the lake, after 3 unsuccessful days with nets out. 🦞 We took the tinny out, but between that and fishing off the bank, and all we managed to hook was bait fish, catfish and a bunch of turtles. The elusive barra lives on...

I have never met a manager of a campground that was not able to control her emotions as much as this lady .
The lady that manages this facility was very rude and difficult to deal with .

Very nice location but the lady managing the place completely soured the mood!

My friends and I visited Gennazano Camping Ground over the recent long weekend. Upon arrival, we were surprised to learn that caravans and motorhomes were not permitted, despite our vehicle being a work van, not a caravan. The caretaker greeted us with hostility, questioning our ability to read and offering no assistance initially, even though there were other trailer vans present that were similar in size to ours.

We calmly explained our situation and were open to finding a solution, but the caretaker's demeanor remained hostile. We were not making a scene; we simply expressed our understanding and asked for guidance given the long journey we had undertaken (a four-hour drive).

After contacting the Tableland Council, we were informed that we could drop off our tents and gear at the camping ground and park our van outside, a solution the caretaker eventually agreed to, although it would have been helpful to know this option earlier.

Despite the initial confusion and unwelcoming reception, we appreciated the peaceful surroundings and amenities once settled in. Clearer communication from the caretaker would have improved our experience significantly.

Overall, while the location itself is lovely, our experience was marred by the initial misunderstanding and the caretaker's attitude. We hope this feedback encourages better communication and customer service in the future.

This is the second time we stayed at Genazzano. Great for camping ⛺ and with the added bonus of camp kitchen and toilets.

My second time staying here. The owners are friendly and go out of their way to help guests. The grounds themselves are lovely with gorgeous lake views and good kitchen and bathroom facilities. The bathrooms are always very clean and have mesh/fly screen to keep out the wildlife. Each space is a good size also. Thank you for having us again!

Genazzano Retreat Centre is a wonderful place that has always sat very fondly in my heart ever since I was a young boy.

I have been to this centre about 3 times over the years but my visit this weekend was my first trip as an adult and suffice to say it lives up exactly to my relaxed childhood memories.

The staff here are absolutely amazing and the make their greatest efforts to supply for any needs you may have.

The facilities are clean and tidy and the grounds are to die for. If your looking to get your family away for the weekend this place should not be written off.

It's peaceful, serene and gives you a direct walk down to the lovely lake Tinaroo. I wish I had pictures but I was obviously too busy disconnecting from the hum and thrum of everyday life.

Thanks again for allowing our entire extended family and friends to have such a relaxing weekend.
