I’m honestly confused about how this place is considered a Peppers Hotel. It’s a mixed-use building with apartments, which I’ve never encountered before, and it didn’t live up to what I expected from a hotel of this brand. First off, there are no blackout blinds, so the room was brightly lit all night from outside lights, making it impossible to sleep properly.

Unfortunately, the place is also overrun with cockroaches. We spotted them everywhere— in the bathroom, inside the coffee machine, and even at the pool. When we picked up our bag near the pool, we were greeted by a swarm of tiny cockroaches. Definitely not something I want to experience at a hotel.

The hallways in the building were like saunas. It felt like they were cutting costs by not providing air-conditioning in common areas, and you can even spot the vents in the ceiling— it’s pretty clear they’re not turning them on. From the moment we walked in, took the lift, and got to our room, it was unbearably hot.

We opted for the offsite parking, which turned out to be a spot in the Valley Metro car park, a good 2-3 blocks away. Alternatively, you can pay $45 a night for valet parking, which feels like a steep charge for what you get.

Overall, I feel like I paid a premium price for what I was expecting to be a premium experience, and I was really disappointed. Honestly, I’d recommend staying somewhere else.

My husband and I stayed at FV Peppers last Saturday night, and we were both thoroughly impressed! We arrived earlier than the 1:00 PM check-in time, and the reception staff kindly offered to hold our bags, allowing us to park the car and enjoy the rooftop pool while we waited for our room. The pool was absolutely amazing—definitely one of the best I’ve seen in Brisbane!

When it was finally time to check in, we were delighted with our room. We had a one-bedroom fully equipped apartment that was very clean, tidy, and featured modern appliances. The size was just right for our needs.

The hotel is perfectly located—just a stone’s throw from the Valley nightlife and close to the city and Howard Smith Wharves. Plus, the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly throughout our stay.

Overall, FV Peppers has become our new favorite hotel in Brisbane, and we can’t wait to return! Highly recommend!

Michael at reception went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and comfortable. He was very professional and courteous. A level of hospitality you would expect at the Savoy in London. Our forester’s hall unit was impeccable, loved the poop areas too although I must say this is better suited for afternoon drinks instead of swimming. There were many cockroaches at the rooftop area at night though. Plenty of outdoor seating and facilities like cinema and private spas, all of which need to be booked in advanced. I wish we knew!

We couldn’t fault anything if we tried. I will definitely be back here when we come to Brisbane next. It’s great for special occasions, it has that extra wow factor if you get a city view room. The rooftop pools and spas are on a grand scale, the views spectacular and definitely sets it apart from any other hotel. Cleanliness was immaculate and we even received a complimentary bottle of wine for my Mum’s 70th birthday! 10/10 stay!

This place is pure bliss! From the two pools, to valet parking, to private spa rooms and cinema. I stayed for 2 nights in a beautiful, well appointed apartment for a much needed rest break. FV has help up the well regarded Peppers reputation for all round excellent service and quality hotels. I will be back again and again.

Worst Accor experience ever. Room was supposed to be a premium. Furniture was dirty old and stained. Amenities were dreadful. Also listing in booking absolutely wrong. Advertised as King beds and they weren't. Advertised as complimentary mini bar and there wasn't even a minibar at all. No welcome drinks. Was supposed to have robes and there weren't any either. Raised the concerns and was only given some free parking after significantly complaining and not taking too bad, so sad as an excuse. I will say staff where nice, polite and patient with me. More issue with management. I would absolutely not stay here again. And this was serviced based on being a Diamond Accor member. Would hate to see how a non status guest would be treated.

From the get go, advertised we booked a king bed in one of the rooms and no they don't have it. Falsely advertised. Nō mini bar, nō bottled water, welcome drink was only alcohol so no good for non drinkers, no pillow menu, no newspaper. Again advertised in the app and not delivered. Excuse was, so sorry but they need to update the website. Not good enough.
La Costa restaurant listed as a dining option for breakfast. Oh no...it's closed!
Now daily servicing. What a joke! Surely it included removal of rubbish because there was no chutes or bins available. Nope! Was told by cleaning staff that they just drop towels. But let's be specific, just towels! No clean facecloths, hand towels or bathroom mats...you must be joking!
Never again will we stay here or recommend and we would love to hear from someone regarding compensation because we paid an big amount for a so called premium apartment for nothing! Not good for the Peppers name at all

We had the most wonderful stay here overall, and my friends and I thoroughly enjoyed the room, view, and amenities. The pools and jacuzzi were absolutely amazing, and the complimentary spa was a lovely touch that added to the experience. The staff throughout our stay were mostly polite and helpful, making our trip feel relaxing and special.

However, the end of our stay left a disappointing and bitter impression. We had asked the hotel a day prior if we could extend our stay since our flight was at night, but we were informed that another guest was checking into our room. Instead, the staff offered us the option to leave our bags in the lobby and return later to shower and change in the common toilets before our flight. While not ideal, we appreciated this option as finding another booking in the area for just a few hours was difficult.

When we returned in the evening to change, things took a turn for the worse. A security guard (appearing South Asian, like us, just to give context) barged into the common toilet without knocking and yelled at us to pack up and leave. Two of us girls were in the middle of changing when this happened, and it was an extremely shocking and disrespectful experience. The fact that we had been given explicit permission by the staff to use these facilities made this incident even more appalling. While the lobby staff apologized for the misunderstanding, it did not make up for the discomfort and the utter lack of professionalism displayed by the security guard.

This experience completely ruined our perception of the hotel. After paying a premium for our stay, we expected better communication and professionalism from the staff. For anyone with a late flight, I would advise considering a different accommodation to avoid facing a similar situation.

Aside from this unfortunate instance, the rest of our stay was fantastic. The facilities and overall service were excellent, but this one moment of negligence and disrespect cast a shadow over what could have been a perfect trip. We truly hope the management addresses such incidents to ensure no one else has to go through the same.
